So, you know, as a white person maybe you can't do much to change the whole culture, but you can change a few people...and maybe those few people are only the start of the social change that Japan so desperately needs.

Here in Chicago on the south side. It was a first and very unique, i was impressed. And it's funny, because I Always thought Cafes and laundry should go hand and hand 😅.

There's a laudromat just like that near me. It has a cafe where they sell things like coffee and boba (not sure about the food/pasteries) inside the laundry mat. I thought that was very strange. Never seen a laudrymat selling prepared food as well.
So when I was in grade 7 we had to design an ad for our own business idea and I came up with a café inside a laundromat and then my teacher said it was unrealistic and made me change it! My 13 year old self feels very justified right now
No it actually makes sense since people don’t often want to just LEAVE their stuff so having a little cafe where people can grab a snack while waiting is nice 😊
Believe it or not, cafe laundromats are relatively common. Mine had a coffee shop and sold pastries. And had its own gacha machine full of laundry things.
