- Hey guys! Today's video is a little different, but I think it could be very beneficial still. I wanted to talk about college. I'm graduating soon, so I thought I could share about my experiences and give you advice related to college! I hope this helps you! I kinda didn't experience high school to the fullest cause I was super shy and now I reagent it so I'm hoping to make the most of college
Isaiah Campbell I was shy in high school too and I grew out of it in college. The more you talk to other people, the shyness will fade. Relaxing and being yourself, regardless of who you're talking to helps. I'm sure you will do great!

I was the same! Honestly when I went to university (college for usa) I really came out of my shell. It kinda forced me too but I'm better for it! Just being yourself really helps ☺

I'm a high school senior and I'm sooo scared that college will be too hard for me 😭 and my anxiety does not help at all.
3years later update : long story short. I started part time at community college while working 30 + hours at a job. I failed a class. I took a semester off. I switched my major. I ended up dropping out. Now I’m a stay at home momma loving life. I do plan on going back to school once quarantine is over because I discovered online classes do not work for me. Im a hands on in person learner. My advice to future college students is : do whats best for you. Take it seriously. Its ok to fail as long as you really did the best you could. Its ok to start at a community college no matter what anyone tells you. Community college is not an excuse to get lazy with school. If at the end of the day you feel school is not for you. Its ok. Youre not a failure or loser. School is not for everyone. Find your passion and make it happen ❣️ AND it is YOUR life not anyone elses. Wherever life takes you, go there with an open heart and embrace it all with open arms.

I go to UT and never felt excluded by not being in Greek life. I met so many amazing people through other orgs and never felt the need to be in sororities just to fit in and a lot of my friends in Greek life said it made them feel even lonelier. But it's different for everyone so some people love it and some don't!

honestly, you were pretty spot on lol I just graduated from UCF in May and I miss it so much, but a lot of that stuff is true, and I wish I would have know that before I started as a freshman lol I'd also like to add that being homesick is nothing to be shy about lol if you miss your family, trust me they miss you ten times harder lol
I went to a smaller college and I still didn't really have friends. I would talk to a few people, but I was lonely most of the time. I, eventually, ended up switching to an online college.

I really really loved this video because you related to me a lot about feeling lonely and making friends. I've been college for about a month and I really haven't made any real friends yet so I definitely relate to this video
I start on Monday. Tip for all you still early in school. Put yourself out there. Don't be a shut in. I hid from everyone and went to home studies 8th grade. I did not get any of the highschool experiences. I graduated with no friends because I left the few I managed to make behind when I left public school. Do sports, do drama, art, something. Be active. I wish I could redo my school years. I'm going to try making up for it in college.

I also went to UT for 3 semesters but ended up transferring back home because of all the things you just mentioned! I wish I had videos like this before graduating high school and it would've made life a lot easier lol so I'm sure it's helping younger girls or those still in college! Love you and your videos!!

Jeanine, honestly you have inspired me so much to just keep being yourself and to always stick to your morals and beliefs and to whatever you believe is the right thing to do, even if other people oppose it otherwise. . I'm still in high school and I'm still on the road of figuring things out but these suggestions are very helpful for my future college experience and my current hs experience! Thanks for spreading love and for being proud of being a Christian!
I totally agreed with every single thing. I've felt alone, I've failed an exam, dropped a class, almost failed a class at the very end because I forgot to complete an assignment, I've wanted to join a sorority but haven't been able to join because it's fucking expensive, and I also drank a lot more than in high school and kind of struggled with my morals (because in high school I did absolutely nothing risky) so college really woke me up. I loved this video SO MUCH. Thank you for making people like me not feel so alone.
Just want to add in a few thoughts! I am a junior at UT (hook em!) and I honestly disagree with you about not fitting in if you aren't in greek life. I am a GDI and I totally feel fine not being in a sorority. Just want to let anyone reading this know, that being in a sorority does not define you and there are sooo many other orgs to join that can be much more meaningful than greek life!

UT at Austin is my dream University I've been to go visit it like 10+ times and I'm going again and i love it sooo muchhh
YOU ARE SO ON POINT in this video. I was at school in California playing golf before I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes so I transferred to Ole Miss and never got the chance to rush; it was very hard and frustrating because like UT, greek life is a whole nother thing there. Now I'm at school in Fort Worth, TX managing my diabetes and am looking at TCU or UT to transfer to for junior year. LOVE your videos!!!
