    He would destroy today’s NBA. One of the best athletes the NBA has ever seen. He was a top recruit to play Power 5 football at QB and DB.

    I watched SO many of Iversons games with my dad on the old Comcast Sports Net channel on TV here in PA.
    Iverson was so good. Besides Michael, hes the best finisher at the rim ive ever seen as a guard. I used to love watching him use the glass on his dribble drives. He seemed to know EVERY angle off the backboard.
    Beautiful to watch.

    18:15 Hearing Chick Hearn brings back a lot of memories. I remember the first game I saw Iverson play against the Lakers at the Forum. He had so much praise for Iverson even before he did anything that game. While Chick was one of the most unbiased commentators, it says a lot how much he praised Iverson. I remember saying something along the lines of "Better watch out for this kid. He's really something." He was already in the process of growing his hair out, and had a little baby fro. He and Van Exel (two of my top 3 favorite players.. Kobe being the other) went at it that game.
    One of the things that people don't realize about Iverson was his conditioning. It's like he never got tired. Which is also pretty crazy considering what some of the players in this video were saying how much he partied. And if I remember correctly, in high school when he played football, he never sat. He played QB and running back on offense, safety/linebacker/defensive back on defense, and kick/punt returner on special teams. That's some crazy conditioning. For those of us who saw AI in his prime, dude was going full speed almost all game long. Non-stop energy.

    Man, you could just see how dudes that guarded AI would jump at EVERY move he made. Mostly the moves he DIDN'T make, but they thought he was going to make. Greg Anthony said it best, "There has never been and will never be a guy that small that was as intimidating as Allen was" He was intimidating AF cause you KNEW you couldn't stop him and were at his mercy!

  • @chadchesney3858
    @chadchesney3858 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

    Oh WITHOUT A DOUBT. AI would just go wild in todays nba. I mean he had to fight the bigs, out scramble the smalls and attack the hoop. And STILL average 30 a game. Look at what Harden has done and I’m sorry but he isn’t half the offensive juggernaut Iverson was. Well maybe half.

    Irving is amazing and his skill level is a pinch higher than ai but ai had the motor and the killer instinct start to finish. You never guessed if he was trying to win and he always put hella pressure on the defense at all times. Ai was better on defense I believe and faster w a pinch higher dunk rating. Irvin can finish a pinch better because of the left hand. Ai was a culture Irvin is a great player
