Mieke, so glad to have you back! I suffered such withdrawal I re-watched FlossTube 1-36 recently. Your projects are amazing, of course, and it seems to me that the growth you spoke of is reflected in the choices you have made, and the fact that you have branched out some in those choices. We are all struggling to find our joy in the world we live in today, and saying that you are okay is perfectly "okay!" Stay positive, take care of yourself, keep stitching, and be back soon.
You really do have quite a few projects that aren't your normal aesthetics .. good for you ! Never feel bad about being well The world is going through alot , and most of it we can't control . So for me I try to stay away from the negative. Sometimes I just have to tell myself quite worrying about the things I have no control of and worry about the things I do. SO yes I'm so glad you are well and in a good place . 🙃😄🙃 OMG I truly have missed you , I mean WOW !! I forgot how beautiful your projects are. Any suggestions on tutorials to watch for a first time full coverage stitcher? I typically do smaller pieces, but all these big process stitches really make me want to try my hand at one!
Hi! :-) So glad you enjoyed the video! Hmm that is a real good question about the full coverage tutorial. When I started them I watched Caroline Mazzeo's parking tutorial as as well as Mrs Milkybarkid's video on HAEDs. But mind you, that was way back in 2015, so I'm sure there are loads more videos on the topic floating around on TH-cam these days. One of the more recent topics is something called 'royal rows', which is a new and popular way of tackling HAEDs. I personally don't use that method but I know that it has clicked with a lot of people. You might want to try a search for videos on that! :-) I hope this helps.

You expressed many of my thoughts and feelings in your journey towards mental health. The first week of October happens to be be the launch of mental health awareness month here in the U.S. - so your video is timely for me. It can be perplexing to be feeling "well" and in a good mental state in the midst of a world experiencing so many challenges, If it is any comfort to you; my late Mother (lost her last February to breast cancer) always told me that our world - our human specie - has always lived in perilous times. We must persevere, and do the very best we can to be part of the solution; love our families, friends and neighbors, and/or offer comfort to our others. The only way we can do these things is by firstly being "well" within ourselves. It is okay to enjoy your "wellness." You/we cannot help others, accept the responsibility of even being part of a home association without firstly being well. Stay safe and be well in your journey.

We have so much corruptions which just snowballs into other issues in our country. My escape from long hours of work and busy home life is my cross stitching. I love this, but I have to say that I am also using this as an example of what NOT to do. I would be so overwhelmed if I had that many of these HAED's to work on at one time. I really want to just stick with one until it's finished, then start another. Easier said than done, I'm sure, but I can't imagine having THAT MANY unfinished HAEDs in a pile, begging for thousands of hours of my time to finish.
Haha I get you! Having so many projects on the go is not for everyone. I used to be a one-project-at-a-time girl for twenty years, and thennnn... I discovered full coverage stitching and my style totally changed. Isn't that what is so great about this hobby. Everyone can customize it to fit their style!

Max Colors is a special service that you can request at Heaven And Earth Designs, which ups the standard amount of 90 DMC colours used in a pattern to maximum 240 colours. Adding more colours gives more contrast and depth to a pattern.

Funnily enough today I started a Quaker which is meant to be stitched in Autumn colours but I'm stitching in all shads of blue to remember our dear Queen Elizabeth ll. You expressed many of my thoughts and feelings in your journey towards mental health. The first week of October happens to be be the launch of mental health awareness month here in the U.S. - so your video is timely for me. It can be perplexing to be feeling "well" and in a good mental state in the midst of a world experiencing so many challenges, If it is any comfort to you; my late Mother (lost her last February to breast cancer) always told me that our world - our human specie - has always lived in perilous times. We must persevere, and do the very best we can to be part of the solution; love our families, friends and neighbors, and/or offer comfort to our others. The only way we can do these things is by firstly being "well" within ourselves. It is okay to enjoy your "wellness." You/we cannot help others, accept the responsibility of even being part of a home association without firstly being well. Stay safe and be well in your journey.

So glad you back. I just love your charts and life updates. Speaking about the hardship that people are going through has hit home here to. We have so much corruptions which just snowballs into other issues in our country. My escape from long hours of work and busy home life is my cross stitching. I love this, but I have to say that I am also using this as an example of what NOT to do. I would be so overwhelmed if I had that many of these HAED's to work on at one time. I really want to just stick with one until it's finished, then start another. Easier said than done, I'm sure, but I can't imagine having THAT MANY unfinished HAEDs in a pile, begging for thousands of hours of my time to finish.
Haha I get you! Having so many projects on the go is not for everyone. I used to be a one-project-at-a-time girl for twenty years, and thennnn... I discovered full coverage stitching and my style totally changed. Isn't that what is so great about this hobby. Everyone can customize it to fit their style!

It was great to see you again- you're positively glowing! I'm so happy you're doing well. Don't feel bad about it- you are healing from an injury, and that's not selfish. As far as patterns go, I find HAED the easiest to follow. Don’t have to think about it.

What is max color
Max Colors is a special service that you can request at Heaven And Earth Designs, which ups the standard amount of 90 DMC colours used in a pattern to maximum 240 colours. Adding more colours gives more contrast and depth to a pattern.
