@@motorbikeray i have both ozark MM, straight and bent. Straight has apple bowl shape while the bent is more of straight tube. But both has served well for my daily use. My experience with the corn is that bottom plug got soft when used within a few hours, i can assume it got wet/ soft and accidentaly punched a hole through it. lol so i have used bowl wire screen and it burns tobacco completely after use which is nice, no leftover tobacco from the bowl. I have seen the pipe mud fixing method but have not tried it yet as seemed daunting and im still novice. The sides of the corn bowl was the part that got burnt for me. Maybe it got too hot or there was a weak point. But its not too expensive to replace so its alright. I havent used my shire series much for fear of it burning out. lol As the great one says, Happy piping!

Thanks for identifying what your MM pipes are. I looked them up on the MM website and the Ozark Mountain Hardwood pipes look great. I like that the straight and bent pipe versions are stained differently from each other and that the bit color is black instead of amber. Going to pick up one of each on my next visit to the local tobacco shop. Happy piping to you too!

Couldn't agree more, was in about 6 months ago and found the staff to be very unhelpful and not interested in answering any of my queries in particular a tall Easter European man. Will stick the Petersons on Grafton street.

Before he left I noticed him wisper to his assistant to watch the store !....I felt like some kind of thief !... As it turns out I bought the pipe in question as Petersons did,nt have one.
i'm very dissapointed...first the music is too loud,your voice is fainting away. you look rather uninterested,and then for a beginning pipesmoker,you offer one of the most expensive brands..PETERSON!!.very good pipe i agree,but not for a starter.what if he/she gives up after a week or so?there is such thing as a starter set,they are affordable,and if the pipesmoking isn't what they expected to be well,no harm done. shame on you mister,that is not advice thats advertise.

Buy a corn cob or a basket pipe! Do not spend so much on your first pipe, in case you end up not wanting to smoke one!

Just buy a $5 or less and see how u like it . All pipes are same mostly. Just buy n smoke n enjoy and u will figure out .
