It’s me again…I’m thinking of how to clean your bricks. Try mixing equal parts of vinegar and water and let it stay on the bricks for a few minutes. Then clean with a cloth or nylon scrub brush. You might need to rinse afterwards. Hope this helps! Love you and Moosie! Prayers for both of you!💜🙏🏻💜
Wow Nanny. Your cottage is so cute. I don't recall the piano before. Do you play? I'm so glad to know Moosie is getting stronger. That dinner plate looked lovely. Up here in Canada we get gruel or a white bread sandwich with a streak of color between them. We call it a jam sandwich, 2 pieces of bread jammed together. LOL I hope you are sleeping and your mind is a peace that passes all understanding. You are both in my prayers. Blessings

Your children are so lucky that you have the common sense that you do…. I’m talking about the decision to use the walker. My sister’s mother in law, same age as you, refuses to use her walker although she has fallen a few times. They worry about her constantly and they don’t live in the same state. You really are so inspiring and I envy your zest for life. I’m quite sure having a close large family has a lot to do with that. Your cottage is lovely and a perfect size for the two of you. What a great arrangement for you and hubby to live on your daughter’s property. Best to Moosie and his recovery and while he is away, take some much needed rest for yourself.
Whoops my comment disappeared! Will try again. Loved the tour of the 'adorable adobe'....filled with precious items that bring special memories of your children , grandchildren and your travels. Yes, I believe the dressing table will have to go into storage. My mother had one just like it with a matching little upholstered bench. It had a large round mirror attached to the back. My brother and I would squeeze between the two side drawers and pretend this was our car! Can you imagine that! Of course we were way smaller back then! So glad to hear that Moosie is doing so well and is so determined to do his best with the PT and continue his journey to wellness. Family visits are certainly the best medicine to his spirit. It is a positive activity to get the adobe ready for Moosie's return. Using the shelves in the sitting area for your jewelry will work well and perhaps you may put lots of your jewelry items in the beautiful blue and white bowls and containers or some pretty floral boxes. Oh Yes! I love what you did with the cabinets in the kitchen! They look so 'homey' and provide a great place for storage. I love painting old furniture and finding ways for new uses. Those tiles you painted are a testimony to the beautiful creative ability God gave you. So pretty. I really enjoyed the tour of your cute cottage. I live in a small place too and need to purge. Its not easy when your up there in age. Just making dinners and feeding and cleaning for 2 cats. Just want to sit. Finding the motivation and energy is hard. Every day is a little different. And the heat can wear you down Been very hot in Florida , very high humidity. Been having lots of rain. A little cooler last night and today from all the rain we had but will be back up there rest of the week. Thank you so much for sharing. The cottage is so cosy and a reflection of you and Moose , just as it should be. It is hard to make space for the new way of life when Moose gets home. It is a constant transition. One reason Moose may be tired is that Physical Therapy IS vigorous and 3 times a day is a lot.. He is also healing and that alone takes energy. So happy you are doing well after so much upheaval . I think someone with a fresh perspective could give you some ideas for rearranging furniture. The bureau Moosie’s clothes are in looks like a trip hazard in the middle of the night for either of you. And Nanny, you need to take care of yourself! Have the kids and grandkids do the heavy work for you. You need to save your energy for being with Moosie. We all love you too!

Hey Nany - so glad to hear the latest update on Moosie - did they x-ray his shoulder, or is that referred pain from his neck? I hope all of that walking is helping you sleep at night. If the temperature goes back up, make sure you call for the golf cart guy. I loved the cottage tour, I’ve seen everything except for the hallway, now I know the whole layout - it’s as cute as a button. Could you move your dressing table into your other bedroom (closet), maybe you and Brendan could move some things around in there, or move something out of that bedroom to make room for your dressing table. That Brendan is adorable. I know you’re really trying to keep your chin up through all of this, and I know it’s not easy…but you are doing a beautiful job, Nanny! Adobe Painted Fireplace: The soot on the white paint use Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom cleaner will lift soot off and Mr. Clean Magic Eraser helps too. If on the sad chance any of your viewing friends have a break-in works on finger print dusting.

When my dad was in hospital, we got him to eat by "sneaking" food in that he liked. The nurses knew it was approved and nothing against the doctors orders, but because my dad was so stubborn he ate that food up because he thought he was getting away with something and pulling a fast one on the nurses!!!! Maybe you could do that for Moosie?

Ask your doctor for a handicapped parking permit. It’s a lifesaver. I’m 82 with bad knees and it was so easy to obtain and I’m so grateful to have it.
Roll the rollater around yourself and it will help you decide before he gets home

Your children are so lucky that you have the common sense that you do…. I’m talking about the decision to use the walker. My sister’s mother in law, same age as you, refuses to use her walker although she has fallen a few times. They worry about her constantly and they don’t live in the same state. You really are so inspiring and I envy your zest for life. I’m quite sure having a close large family has a lot to do with that. Your cottage is lovely and a perfect size for the two of you. What a great arrangement for you and hubby to live on your daughter’s property. Best to Moosie and his recovery and while he is away, take some much needed rest for yourself.
Whoops my comment disappeared! Will try again. Loved the tour of the 'adorable adobe'....filled with precious items that bring special memories of your children , grandchildren and your travels. Yes, I believe the dressing table will have to go into storage. My mother had one just like it with a matching little upholstered bench. It had a large round mirror attached to the back. My brother and I would squeeze between the two side drawers and pretend this was our car! Can you imagine that! Of course we were way smaller back then! So glad to hear that Moosie is doing so well and is so determined to do his best with the PT and continue his journey to wellness. Family visits are certainly the best medicine to his spirit. It is a positive activity to get the adobe ready for Moosie's return. Using the shelves in the sitting area for your jewelry will work well and perhaps you may put lots of your jewelry items in the beautiful blue and white bowls and containers or some pretty floral boxes. Oh Yes! I love what you did with the cabinets in the kitchen! They look so 'homey' and provide a great place for storage. I love painting old furniture and finding ways for new uses. Well, butterfly kisses for Moosie and continued prayers to both of you for continued strength and healing. (a Nivea Nanny in Pa.)
Nanny, I’ll bet your Family will get a plan that some how they will find a place for you to have your vanity where you can use it. After all a Girl 👵🏻needs a little me time 💄.

Those tiles you painted are a testimony to the beautiful creative ability God gave you. So pretty. I really enjoyed the tour of your cute cottage. I live in a small place too and need to purge. Its not easy when your up there in age. Just making dinners and feeding and cleaning for 2 cats. Just want to sit. Finding the motivation and energy is hard. Every day is a little different. And the heat can wear you down Been very hot in Florida , very high humidity. Been having lots of rain. A little cooler last night and today from all the rain we had but will be back up there rest of the week.

The cottage is so cosy and a reflection of you and Moose , just as it should be. It is hard to make space for the new way of life when Moose gets home. It is a constant transition. One reason Moose may be tired is that Physical Therapy IS vigorous and 3 times a day is a lot.. He is also healing and that alone takes energy. So happy you are doing well after so much upheaval . Yes Moose must be happy that the Dodgers are doing well. We are Brave fans and baseball is a common subject in our family. Warmest regards to you both, Liz

What a lovely home! I’m like you, I love to have my family pictures close by. Can your sons come in and move some things for you? I think someone with a fresh perspective could give you some ideas for rearranging furniture. The bureau Moosie’s clothes are in looks like a trip hazard in the middle of the night for either of you. And Nanny, you need to take care of yourself! Have the kids and grandkids do the heavy work for you. You need to save your energy for being with Moosie. We all love you too!

Wonderful news about Moosie! We are so glad to hear how well you’re doing with the walking too. There truly are silver linings on all the clouds in our lives, if we choose to find them. Moose seems to be doing better each day and certainly looks good. Your cottage is so inviting and beautifully decorated. Love the fireplaces and the mantles and all the decor items you have collected over the years. Shamu has certainly converted himself into an inside housecat. Loved hearing him purr.

Hey Nany - so glad to hear the latest update on Moosie - did they x-ray his shoulder, or is that referred pain from his neck? I hope all of that walking is helping you sleep at night. If the temperature goes back up, make sure you call for the golf cart guy. I loved the cottage tour, I’ve seen everything except for the hallway, now I know the whole layout - it’s as cute as a button. Could you move your dressing table into your other bedroom (closet), maybe you and Brendan could move some things around in there, or move something out of that bedroom to make room for your dressing table. That Brendan is adorable. I know you’re really trying to keep your chin up through all of this, and I know it’s not easy…but you are doing a beautiful job, Nanny! Adobe Painted Fireplace: The soot on the white paint use Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom cleaner will lift soot off and Mr. Clean Magic Eraser helps too. If on the sad chance any of your viewing friends have a break-in works on finger print dusting.

When my dad was in hospital, we got him to eat by "sneaking" food in that he liked. The nurses knew it was approved and nothing against the doctors orders, but because my dad was so stubborn he ate that food up because he thought he was getting away with something and pulling a fast one on the nurses!!!! Maybe you could do that for Moosie?
