Rhyme plays only FIRE monsters and Tyree plays only WIND monsters. These attributes have basically no meta cards so I think you could make some unique decks with niche and underused powerful cards.

Battalion format: - 60 card deck - 3 in your extra deck - only one of each card - each card in your deck must match one of the arc types or type of the monsters in your extra deck. - spells traps and monsters without extra deck support are ok to use if they don’t fall under the previous conditions (pot of greed, mst, mirror force) - you can use the extra deck monsters (if you play in person and your extra deck monster(s) are in the graveyard or banished they return to your extra deck at the beginning of your next draw phase)
I would love to see one of you play ancient gears at some point. Would be fun to see. It's GX so it might be a little later than 2005 but hey, would be fun!
Are you trying the Rush Duel as Konami's new flagship in Japans, it's a perfect mix for Goat Beatdown and still combi-ish format since Modern is more interaction/combo-ish nowadays
This ones my personal favourite for classic friendly duels. Shadow Game. Both players run Seal of Orichalcos. You can't inflict damage or Attack until Seal of Orichalcos is on the field, both players agree not to remove or negate the field spell.
The best recruiter combo you can use in Highlander 2005 format Giant Rat to Pyramid Turtle to Vampire Lord/Ryukkoki/Spirit Reaper And Tomato to Sangan/Witch of the Black Forest to basicaly any moster in your deck that meets the requirements😉
A really cool idea would be that you can only play one spell in your hand and all others need to be set for a turn b4 they can be activated and then both rhyme and Tyree add 3 heavy storms and mystical space typhoons into their decks
I know you’ve done GOAT with hand traps before but I think seeing a version a of GOAT where you are allowed a play set of a single modern staple could be fun (ash, trip tac talent, etc.) still balanced in a set pass format but allows for just a bit more counter play
You should do a match of goblins with Anubis , the creator , tualatin cards splashed in vs something just as funny . Penguins/ vampires etc ….. with other odd cards splashed in . Could be entertaining see what you think
I think a great duel would b fusion vs xyz or synchro vs link in the future, but for now, it should b dragons vs fiends to see which deck was the best from back in the day

Rhyme plays Ritual monsters only (or monsters that support ritual) so he gets Black Luster, Relinquished etc. Thyree gets the God Cards and cards out at the time that would help them. Essentially, who wins between Pegasus and Marik?
I think an Idea I have is that GOAT Chaos Duel however both of you have 3 BLS and 3 Chaos Sorcerer you might have a brick issue but that’s what makes it funny
Run your standard Goat decks but add some random cards from future releases. Like 1 random bystial in deck. 1-2 Parlor/Kitchen Dragonmaid + the big dragon variant. Pankratops/Fenrir. Etc. you'd each get to add... say a total of 5 Future cards. Then we see what happens in the duel :D
You know what would be the real Yugioh Challenge. Play like it's the Hardest Yugioh Game to exist. Play like it's Yugioh Forbidden Memories. You can only play 1 card per turn. (Since that's the only rule that can translate to current format).
One other yugioh channel has Boss vs Boss battles, where you have to end your opponent with the boss monster and can't finish the game in other ways. I think you folks would enjoy that.
You guys should do fire vs water or like blue eyes vs red eyes. Neither has to be goat I just think that they would be fun matches to watch with the new red eyes support and I think we just got new fire monsters right?
Pyros i have been messing around with a banish pyro list with gran maju and return from a different dimmension with a big pyro boss that banishes pyros from grave i havent tested it but seemed cool to me and harpies I always thought were cool that or aquas legendary ocean to get out 5 star 2400 attacks for a normal summon went pretty crazy when me and my friends played goat this weekend

Play with the scuffed vanilla monsters, the one with no effects.
You can still use the spells and traps though, and maybe 1 effect monster max.
