Hi Darrel, as a young french guitar player your channel really got me into loving the guitar !
I'm a big fan of the Les Paul, and especialy since I linstened to players like Slash, Joe bonamassa, Randy Rhoads, and of course Zack Wylde, and when I heard about Wylde audio guitars, I was nearly in heaven, and I was wondering :
Could you do a comparasion between a Gibson Les Paul Standard or Studio and a Wylde Audio Odin (this one has a contoured body, and slightly thinner), and between a Gibson Les Paul Custom and a Wylde Audio Odin Grail (double bound, larger body, heavier, just like a Les Paul Custom) ? And if they are too different, there is the Epuphone Les Paul Custom Prophecy Plus, that has a set of EMG's 81-85, same pickups as the Wylde Audio's.
Thanks for reading this, keep up the great work, your channel is amazing, hope to see the next one soon !

The neck overlap on finish is because its a set neck and you dont get clear maple necks on set necks that often, the line is simply where it was masked off... the neck goes down into the tinted part of the body hence the line. it wouldn't be worth the ball ache and cost to mask off all of the neck and then respray and clean up everything.

I would’ve used the opening riff to Smothered by Spineshank to demo how well it handles low drop tunings being that the song is played in Drop A#, and how much control the guitar has overall because Smothered can be very squirrely at times because of the precision required to play the riff cleanly, i use that riff alot when trying out guitars at GC, I’m a Metalcore/Nu Metal/Grunge etc. style player and i love a nice riff, another great one to use is Dig from Mudvayne, this one really stretches those pickups past their limits, if a guitar can handle Dig with the tone Mudvayne uses, those are some solid electronics, that song is very aggressive and really shows just how versatile the guitar you’re testing is, really seperates the boys from the men, a Fender Strat for example, fantastic instrument, not very versatile, Schecter Damien, fantastic instrument, very versatile, i was actually shocked to see that a Gibson LP can handle Dig very well, i got the idea because in the music video, Greg uses a Gibson Gothic Morte LP, So why not see what a regular LP can do, i slapped some EBMM Mammoth slinky’s on there because of the short scale length, put it in Drop B, and it handled great, I’m not a Les Paul guy at all, but i was very pleased!

But as I work in a musical instrument store in an Asian country, I have played some of their guitars and I have to say, they are really good for the money, especially the Acoustic guitars. I dig! I wish I could fnd these in stores though. I'm normally not too much of a metal player either, but my next guitar will be something geared a little more towards shred/metal, and it's so hard to find guitars with a fatter neck these days so this sounds promising!
You should make a playlist for this series though so I can watch the other "unusual" guitar reviews

That's an almost flawless guitar for the metal boys, extremely beautiful and a real achievement. If I was in a metal band I'd buy one in a snap. The clean sound, though, is not as lovely as a Les Paul.
One thing we owe to the Chinese is the finishes on guitars. The hollows especially now come with the most insanely beautiful finishes - we are living in the best ever era for guitar finishes. The guitar as an Art Object of beauty. MOUTH-watering flames. I'd like to see more carbon fibre necks, though. They seem like a huge upgrade and a no-brainer. How can you beat having total stability all the time, especially here in Australia where the heat causes guitars simply to fall apart?
We're also seeing more varied woods such as Cocobolo and Koa. For me, I'd always buy a Cocobolo guitar. Always. I think the tone is unmatched. Could you do a wood comparison? Say, spruce vs maple vs mahogany vs cedar vs koa vs cocobolo?
I love your vids and there's a couple of things I'd like to see you do. I'd like to see some Washburns reviewed. I have an HB32DM (distressed mahogany). I bought it cheap because the headstock was busted off, and when my luthier did a near-perfect repair on it - mostly he has PRSs and won't usually even look at anything under $5000 - he said "Don't sell this guitar. This is a really good guitar". He considered it the equal of some much more expensive guitars that he had.
I'd like to see you give us a blind test on some solids, semis and hollows. Myself I prefer the semis. They're very versatile.
I like SGs and the second-best guitar I've ever had is one of the cheapest SGs you can get - an Epi SG Special. In the USA these are only about $90 2ndH and so cheap most players wouldn't even look at one. But I loved the neck on that guitar - a shallow D, perfect for a beginner and very easy to play. Perfectly balanced, no headstock dive at all. I only sold it because I have a 1967 lawsuit (Aria?) that I am assembling. But I'd like to see a '6 SGs that you should try before buying a Gibson' test.
My fav guitar, which I still have, is a Guild S 280 or 281 from 1985, needs headstock work. When my luthier picked it up he said; "Those are Seymour Duncan Invaders!" He was impressed. To play and the sound, it is super-creamy. It's a hair metal guitar but it's equal to a top Gibson or Fender. Just the most easily playable guitar and the most wonderful sound. If you see one of these, GRAB IT! For about $350 2H you will have a guitar easily = a $2,500 Gibson or Fender. Absolutely a perfect lead guitar for your band. You might want to take it down to the local auto shop and get that godawful pink re-sprayed. You will never sell it.
I'm a member of the Newport, Melbourne Folk and Fiddle club, which is all-acoustic, so I hear a lot of different guitars. The best acoustic I ever heard stood head-and-shoulders above the rest, both in sound and in price - it was a like $4,500 guitar. It was a Santa Cruz, hand-made in the USA. The sound stood out immediately. I am a big advocate for inexpensive guitars and I wouldn't have thought there would be that much difference, but I would pay for that or a Bourgeois or import a Sundberg from Sweden for $3,000 any day of the week. They are worth it.

I want to see some reviews of travel guitars - electric and acoustic. When you go on vacation, there are times when there just ain’t enough space to pack the full size guitar. The kids can also play an electric travel guitar in the back seat with headphones, or sing along when playing the little acoustic. That’s my recommendation for one of your great vids. Thanks...

    Hi Darrell!
Very cool video and overall amazing channel! Great and well-balanced mix of professional touch and entertainment. Sorry that the suggestion may be slightly out of topic currently, and it might have been something similar somewhere among your videos (however, I still think I watched pretty much everything and did not see the one I suggest) can you please make a video something like "The ultimate non-Fender Strat". IMHO, either PRS Silver Sky and Schecter USA Traditional shall be on top, however there are really nice Ibanezes around (e.g AZ2204) too.
I think there are plenty of Strat aficionados who dislike certain features of the original Fender Stratocaster but still love the shape and classic single-coil tones.
Thanks a lot for consideration! Wishing to your channel even more success and prosperity. Keep up these really great videos! Cheers and stay safe.

There is a DIY way to fix neck dive. You know those tyre weights you use to balance your car tyres. Stick those on the inside of the control cavity.
You can get a box of them for maybe $5 on Amazon.

Just FYI, I have aWylde Audio Odin Grail (the Les Paul shape) and often play it clean and with just a little breakup for blues. I love it for that. I just hate sitting down to play it. I've never found a comfortable sitting position haha :)

The 1 minute solo sounded really great, really tasty playing. I was thinking, wonder if they have a 7 string version - checked they don't. Love the look of the guitar too - reminded me of BC Rich. I already own a Schecter and it's made by the same company, so it's going to be good, just a pity I'm not in the market for a 6 string at the moment.
As for guitars you would pass by how's about the new line of BC Rich guitars? They have the look I like and 7 stringers as well.

That’s the best-looking Wylde guitar I’ve ever seen! Actually, it’s the only model of theirs that I don’t hate. I’m an SG and Telecaster player for the most part, but I’d play that thing. I’d have to change out the pickups; I’m not a big fan of those EMGs. They’ve got some new pickups out that are supposed to have more of a vintage tone; maybe those would work better. I’m not a metal player-I play blues, classic rock, country, R&B, and jazz-just about anything except metal. Unless you consider Cream and Hendrix to be metal. (I don’t.) I don’t think I’d take that guitar to a jazz gig-they’d look at me funny-but anything else would be fair game. Cool guitar, but I’d have to change those pickups. Gold hardware would look good on it, but I have a tendency to kill gold plating, so it wouldn’t look good for very long.
