The drop kick field goal has not been attempted in the NFL since 1937. The drop kick extra point is used a little more often but still very rarely.

Certainly a difference in technique between Aussie Rules and Rugby... Rugby needs height to get over the bar and Aussie rules is dropped at 45 deg for distance....good vid...
