Mara Brown author here! Thanks so much to David for featuring the novel on his channel! Fun fact: in my original draft the story would’ve been set in Chicago but I changed it to a fictional island because the real world location got a little restrictive. Maybe I should’ve kept Chicago seeing as this figure is based on Sue! Either way huge thanks to everyone reading this for stopping by and biggest thanks to David for the promotion!
So nice to see the snout and nasal ridge reconstructed without a hint of JP-ish exaggeration, people don't realize how rare that is. Dope color distribution too, and neat design overall. Though not my favorite EoFauna thang, still a very solid addition to their catalog. And while it won't be everyone's cup of tea visually, it does represent the most definitive T. rex figure accuracy wise atm, which is no small achievement. Edit: Glad you brought up the head sculpt and the lips. I straight up prefer this more soft tissue heavy, more bulldog-ish look over the sharper and tighter look of BotM's rex (a figure I always thought looked ALMOST shrink wrapped). This head just looks genuinely natural and believable, kind of reminds me of later iterations of the saurian rex.
@@rodrigopinto6676 I like how your comment was edited. Like you really needed two tries to type three words with no punctuation. Truly a historic moment.
I still think the snout when viewed from its profile looks a bit bear/dog-like. And, I don't know why they made the teeth so rounded and stubby. In any event, I'm still getting it. Overall, it's a pretty stunning piece. Oh, and thanks for the heads-up on the peg-n-hole issue! 😎👍
Lips are not a real thing, why people act like it's certain?. Also dinosaurs if they have lips, they have LIZARD lips, not this abominations bear/dog lips@@OvercookedHazels
I could be wrong, and not sure if it’s brought up in the video, but the coloration kind of reminds me of the crocodile monitor. Either way, it still looks like a pretty good depiction of T. rex.
Wait till they bust out the 'Altispinax/Becklespinax dunkeri/oweni' 😭 But this is a really nice figure. Quite uncommon to see black dinosaurs nowadays, everyone's too caught up with the colors.
The most updated and anatomically accurate Tyrannosaurus figure I have ever seen, it even has surpassed the quality of PNSO's most updated Cameron Sue figure in terms of anatomical accuracy too. As per as I know that melanin has been discovered from the Tristan specimen. Does the vibrant yellow go with this finding?

If I ignore the weird yellow and black paint job, it's definitely my new favorite T.rex figure.
Yeah, bro, black and yellow is such a weird color combo. Thank goodness your pfp isn't--OH GOD.

I don't know if it's just me but the head sculpt kinda resembles that of the path of titans rex
Does it lean already?
I just randomly saw this on BBTS and I was hoping you would review it cause it looks goofy lol
I’m 100% getting this tyrannosaurus figure!😃🥹☺️😊
Great figure . Even if on lateral view seems a little bit a smiling dog ahahah
For me the black nose makes it looks somewhat like a dog. First time I saw this model I hated it but the more I look the more I like it
Look at all of my plastic 😂
