Spencer -- Where have you been? Finally, actual instructions that demonstrates the guard rails. We mortal pilots...all we have is a buzzer and maybe an hour or two to demonstrate how to keep from crashing into a guard rail. But we have no idea where they are. We settle for "being aware," and a frightened respect for them. Seriously. This is a demonstration of how the plane flies by showing when and how it won't. Thank you. And, I'll have you know, I'm heading to FL to your school, so I'm hoping you'll be my instructor. It was going to be Patty or no-one, but that's just because I had this long-standing connection to her flying (shared the cockpit with her once) and was completely enthralled with that level of professionalism, went on to build a Glasair. Now getting my pilots license (long story). But now, after seeing just one video - -you're exactly the disposition/connection to flight that I want. Better than Patty? Eh....

    Spencer,
I went ahead and set the reminder and got the popcorn ready, roll it when you're ready.
Looking forward to it and I am forwarding these to some aspiring young cadets.

Pilots in the US are so afraid of spins, a simple and quick flight like this would be so effective at educating that fear away. Nice work, love the videos

Spencer, You know your stuff! Thanks for explaining and demonstrating the things that might not be obvious or explained very well by an instructor. If people understand these principles, it might just save their life. David (Hatz Pilot).

    Spencer,
Got the notification just as my popcorn ran out. The wait was very worth it. 👍
You sound like Bevo so much in the way that you explain things and in your mannerisms.
    Very articulate very understandable.
(That by itself is a gift)
Did you ever know Jim Holland from Deerfield Beach???
A bottle of wine, Him playing the guitar and singing waltzing Matilda.
Teaching has to be serious and the student must be held to accountability.
Bevo used to say, "if I miss anything and you don't have it when you need it, it's on me"
Your videos And your style of teaching may lead to the Renaissance and a new day for general aviation (I hope?)
Thanks Spencer. Really enjoyed this one
Had chemo yesterday and this really is a good pick me up keeping the mind active.
    Wow!
Just had a thought and remembered Art Sholl. Man the time has really gone fast.

Excellent video Spencer. This will certainly save lives if pilots watch this. I'm saving them all. Perhaps at some point we will see a big reduction of accidents in the pattern. Keep posting things like Density Altitude, Checklists controls free & correct, Crosswind etc

👍😎 Thank you Spencer! ☺️ These visual demonstrations of actually inducing undesirable flight, helps us in understanding what is taking place from the inputs we induce, and helps to “SET” the “why” and “what for” regarding those proper techniques into memory.
    Thank you. 😉👍😎

Teach constant AOA turns not constant airspeed. You trim to AOA. Use power to maintain altitude or desired descent rate. You can roll as many degrees as you have power to handle. You won’t stall if you don’t pull back on the stick. Remember to pull the power out rolling out. Though you may need a little back in for headwind straightening on final. See Medium Improve your Landings with AOA and Power Techniques. While seeing AOA is helpful, you don’t actually need to see it to fly this way.
