I read and interesting opinion about the test: since they way to pass it is to face your insecurities and speak your truth, both the Primarch and Moll would pass it, since they would say something like "I want to unite my people, and lead them to greatness. I do the things I do, because they are necessary; my people need a strong leader to protect them in a dangerous galaxy!" The Coup happens way to fast; I can get that the Breen are swept up on a messianic crusade, and are willing to do anything to return to their former greatness, but I can't believe they just are cool with the death of their leader, even if he was a jerk. Liked the Library, but thought it would have been funny if they were outfitted by many of the species that they service with the best shield and weapons tech available; Imagine them just casually deploying Husnok particle cannons, or Voth fractal shielding.
How can DS9s 90s CGI for the Badlands look better than the modern video game graphics of Discovery? Go figure. A reference to Inner Light was a massive gamble. She spent waayyyy too long in that trance to accomplish so little. The Breen location is like some STO hub. Knowing they have that wall in the studio means they abuse it. It's TOO open of a space for me to think it's real.
Yeah and the trance as Treklad says was just one long psychometric test or whatever it is called. Just seemed so pointless in my opinion and such a a lazy way to have the crew gaining the last piece. I rate the episode 3/10, and that's me being generous.
Disco has a lot of issues but CGI is not one of them (for the most part), yes the Badlands look more different than they should, but they are clearly better graphics. Watching DS9 on a 4k TV is downright painful
BTW.....I have predicted the final ep will have them take the ProGenTech and use it to restore Lok and he will lead the F-ing Flubber Jelly Breens. FFJBs going forward! Also use it restore Book's planet with the very convenient root provided in this crappy ep! Maybe even turn the computer Zora into corporeal form! And then Space Jesus Burnham's Mom! Oh....and it will have dramatic music, great special effects, and tons of TEARS! Because that Disco Ball cannot spin without loads of emo-crying!

Valley Girl "Spaced Out" Librarian? Casting couch casting? Copied other Trek and SciFi. This ep was the WW84 of Trek. I was falling asleep and hoping it would end soon. Thankfully it will end soon for good! ST Disco...aka Magic Space Jesus Burnham's Tears. And the "Flaming Bridge" whenever space dust hit the "advanced future" shields? Sadly my Trek addiction and love laughing as this garbage compels me to watch to the bitter end! And when it comes to the lousy writing a word very close to lousy is lazy.......
Great review, i want to like this show but it wont let me.. its just lazy, often ridiculous with sparks of nearly good moments..Ill still keep watching because ya know, star trek..

Rated as a Discover episode alone I'd give it a 7/10, rated as a "Star Trek" episode I'd give it a 3/10
