2:52 - 3:21 I'll give the 80s one thing, they went *hard* on commercial jingles, sometimes.
I'd forgotten Busch Gardens was a thing. They must've gotten bought out by somebody, because I can't recall seeing any ads for them past 2000.
Oh, those Slice commercials must've been so fun to film. Nothing like getting repeatedly splashed with cold water while fully clothed.

1987 is my favorite year of the 80s. It seems like the schizophrenia level really peaked in 87 and 88 but to me 87 was the pinnacle of advertising insanity

😂😂💀 I was born in ‘87… My favorite 80s years are 1984-1987. But I have a lot of love for 88 and 89. 1983 seems ok. 1980-‘82 are a lot like the 70s. I really love 80s commercials…They’re fun/funny, cheesy and weird yet cute… I don’t like the style of advertising today.. Too many medication and health insurance ads 🥴

Hello, Nostalgia Fans! Okay, so this is a long shot but I have to try: I remember a commercial from the 1980s for a car (of course the name and year escape me, lol) because it was funny, with a family driving through the forest, and the little boy says "Here's your scalding hot cup of tea, Grandma" to the old lady beside him, as they're smoothly riding over huge bumps and logs and such.
I'd love to see that ad again but I wouldn't know how to find it. In the past I've tried searching TH-cam with some choice key words but no success came of it. There are certain commercials I loved from that era, including Polaner's "Would you please pass the jelly?" (which I found). If anyone has seen that car ad, please reply to this comment. Thanks very much in advance. :)

No, Professor Braniac, the Moon is *not* made out of "molecules."
Molecules are when two or more atoms share a *covalent bond* with one electron repeatedly jumping from one atom's outermost shell to another's causing a continuous transfer of charge. (e.g., as in water, oxygen, etc.)
When atoms transfer charge *just once* so as to create create chemical compounds such as salts, silicates, and hydrocarbons, the term is actually *formula units* .

8:31 Who is the voice-over artist on this A&P spot? Her voice was heard on a lot of commercials in the 80s.
