Why this film never received a North American release on VHS is beyond me. Yet it saw international VHS releases.

Yeah, I'm not sure. It could have been that Fox really just wanted to drop VHS in the states, or it could have been a command from on high (Lucas). Only thing I'm a bit miffed about is the fact that we never got an HD version of the "Certified" byline version so I can't just dub that one to tape if I want to make more fakes with it (or use it on Blu-ray.) Only "Certified Cinema" and "Certified Game", which would look a tad bit odd on things that are... well, neither of those.
