I also labored 72 hr.hrs. my water broke before I went to the hospital. Dr's s as I'd tge baby wasn't showing signs of distress so they wouldn't give me a C SECTION.

Ok, reality check. 72 hours of cramps, is not 72 hrs of labor. Labor starts at 4cm dilation. Whatever happens before that is not labor.
The key is to understand that fully, so that you don't waste energy freaking out about those pre-labour cramps.
Another reality check, labor starts once your contractions last around a minute at least every 5 min for an hour. And I was in labor for 72 hours🫶🏾 those “pre labor cramps” are contractions btw
@@AlyashaYasmeen That's not how it works. We call that 'niggling'. It's not active labour. Active labour starts at 4cm. No matter what we might be experiencing (even frequent contractions), if you're less than 4cm active labour has not started.
That's why it's so important to point this out. So that first timers don't use up all their energy being upset or freaked out before active labour even begins. It just wears the woman out, is she's busy 'fighting' this early stuff. It's nothing like the pain of active labour, so it's just very counterproductive to fight it. Women need to rest and let it happen. Or for some, keeping busy is better - as a sort of distraction to the niggles.
