Grumman Tracker mishap 1964

April 20, 1964, exact 60 years ago, Grumman S2A Tracker D-170 left the Dutch carrier HNlMS Karel Doorman at 10.15 for an operational flight in the Caribbean Sea. 48 minutes later the Grumman Tracker made a precautionary landing at Hato-Curacao with a hydraulic problem.
The nosegear colllapsed and the D-170 stopped with its tail in the air. No casualties, just structural damage. It's all history.
