Well to be fair Thomas was being a cheeky little s**t, Gordon was fed up with his pranks and Thomas got what he deserved. In fact, if I were in Gordon’s place, I would have probably done the same as what he did to Thomas.
It would make sense for him to scold Gordon as he was reaching speeds that were above Thomas' limit. It's lucky that Thomas wasn't falling apart when he was being dragged by the fastest engine on Sodor

As for Henry his small ire box was massing him a poor steamer. Though this was excellent and should have been included.

If Thomas Wasn't at Knapford, they're would be no station pilot at all to shunt trains for the other engines. Gordon could have left the guard behind. Thomas was only being cheeky, not malicious and The Fat Controller knows it

I guess Gordon could've just politely let the Fat Controller know about it and explain why he needs his nap since as I said, a nap would be necessary after a hard day's work. Hope I'm not sounding argumentive, I do agree that Gordon deserved his punishment and don't think Thomas deserved that trick. I guess I just felt empathy for Gordon as I experienced people doing the same thing to me when I came home after a long ass day of work but I guess that's too different from this. Lol
