Recycling on the Cedar Creek Fire

The Greening Fire Team is an initiative to reduce waste on national incidents. Throughout the #CedarCreekFire, recycling, food donations, and battery re-use has been a priority within the fire camp.
Recycling Solutions, Inc is the most recent recycling vendor on the Cedar Creek Fire, and in this video owner Josh Boyle breaks down the amount of waste that has been diverted over the time his company has worked on the fire.
Over the last 5 weeks, Recycling Solutions, Inc has diverted
- 18,000 pounds of cardboard
- 2,500 pounds of food
- 791 pounds of batteries
- 1,400 pounds of plastic
