As usual Mr. Strickland is the perfect commentator: explains the game, tells all options for the next shot, even if Drago plays in his high speed mode. And I love Mr. Stricklands self-irony! Great guy!
I just love how Earl calls the plays 97% of the times, I am able to learn the pool pattern just by listening to his commentary. His knowledge in pool is unmatched.
I agree... not only the pattern play, but the spin and velocity applied to the shot in order to accomplish it. I absolutely love it when Earl is the commentator! He's also very entertaining!

earl is the best commentator. everytime he says "this guy plays fast" or "this guy needs to slow down" it makes me laugh so hard. and i love that earl is real about how his game is not what it used to be, but i still don't wanna play him for $$ lol
He used to play locals in NYC for small bets $20s race to 9 and you win if it's not over in 30 minutes.
His commentary will make ya a better player..
Earl is really funny, if you can find his "Road Stories" video it's well worth watching.

Try and find the speed match between Joshua Filler and Tony Drago on youtube f you can. You'll be in for a treat. Fun and fast match. I think they have a 15 second shot clock for each shot. It's really a fun and impressive match.

Earl's an excellent commentator. Just by his tone, he's alot more humble than most other commentators that often try to make it about themselves or that their choices/decisions are better than the player being broadcasted.

I know Earl the pearl will be in the Hall of fame in 5 years as a Pool commentator instead of the top player in the world. I love him teaching everyone how to use spin and cue control. It is one of the best things to happen to world class pool in a long time. Very cool stuff.
Only thing missing in this commentary was whether the table was "Wet or Dry". Exellent commentary.
This match was a dream come true. Not only are two great shot makers playing FAST, which I love, but you’ve got a 5-time US Nineball winner giving you a pool lesson as you go. Fantastic.
This was back after Tony got skinny but before Jayson got fat. 😂
Is Earl still doing commentary? He repeats some of his comments a lot but his predictions are so useful for me as a player. He’s a great commentator. Not least because he is always paying attention to what’s happening on the table.

What year is that match? Earl says that Drago is 55 and Shaw - 32 which are their current ages, but it doesn't seem like a 2020 match for multiple reasons.
