@@ThePadelSchool Did you get the opportunity to play with him? I know, maybe it's a silly question but still, it would be pretty cool & padel is life so why not 😅
Ale's insights are priceless and the way you broke them down for us in on par with the expected quality you've been providing since the very beginning. I'm happy for you and hope you get more guests on the channel!
I love the way Ale says you have a few thousandths of a second to make a decision, then runs through all the things he considers in that fraction of time....and he really does! Brilliant to have a guest like that, detail from him and perfect summary - now to put it into practice....well we can dream! 😊
There are so many things that they think about so quickly , it is incredible. I’m sure it becomes natural for them at some point and they don’t think about it but super impressive all of the considerations that go through their mind. Definitely a different level of play. Great work as usual Sandy
Amazing Sandy! Alejandro Galan is an amazing player and a gentleman both in and out of the court. Congratulations on his win at the Santander Open! Great tips and analysis from both of you. Even though I didn't need the translation, I appreciate the time and effort you put into adding it. Keep it up!
These world tour players have such skill and insight. It´s amazing. But it takes a very talented instructor like yourself to break these insights down to their composing parts and make them cristal clear to us, amateur players. Stripped from too much complicating nuance but without oversimplifying. I like the way you are doing that in all your videos. That´s some great teaching.
Thank you! That is my aim, to break down the complexities of technique and tactics to help all players learn the game. So nice to get the insight from the top though too!
Amazing video Sandy!, it is quite interesting how Ale evaluates the odds when defending and how he always tries to play a ball that helps him to counter attack and congratulations for having a WPT #1 player in your videos!
Thanks for this channel! I live in Spain, but my Spanish isn't good enough to learn from the Spanish resources. I started playing a couple of months ago, but I made big improvements in the last two weeks that I have watched your channel. I have pointed my playing group towards your channel as well, although that might make it more difficult for me :-)
Congratulations for the spet ahead in your channel with this great video with Alejandro Galán. It's weird for me to hear some Spanish in your videos but it's great 😂😂
I like the way those players are thinking about shot decision. They are thinking way ahead. The shot selection is mostly based on the position of the opponents. Also, do not try to cover the risky option.
This is great information. However at lower level people are making random decisions all the time on the court which makes it so much harder to anticipate whats coming. Some opponents do awful smashes from the back of the court which they shouldn't be doing, so you're not ready to go forward when it comes. But over the course of a set or two sets you can see their tendencies. Especially in Sweden people play very randomly and not according to "padel theory". Great Video, Vamos Ale!
Always great videos - but to improve you could use a directional mic or a lavalier mic as the sound is pretty bad when you are away from the camera interviewing.
@@ThePadelSchool Yes the way he set up it to make you think he is going to X3 then suddendly change for vibora shot; its world class. If you can make theorical video about this one it would be awesome. Thanks for this one btw
It’s too bad...if I knew Ale Galán was in your channel I ask you how to run forward to hitting the ball at the net avoiding being hit by it, since Galán is one of the best recovering balls. It seems I collect bruises every match. My wife asks me If I play paddel or karate. Thanks again for the knowledge you share with us.
Hahaha, like you are going paint balling each time?! You are being hit after recovering a smash? Or running forward from a dropshot? Galan does so much really well I could've asked him loads of questions!!
It was very hard to pick up what he was explaining visually, it would have been much better if as he was explaining an animation on the side would run with a court and showing what he meant.
Personally I find it much more interesting listen to tactical advice from a skilled player that does not move as well. Galan's positioning is very different from amateurs and taking after him is not a good idea for most of us.
AlEjandro therefore his nickname Ale the "E" sounding like Elefant, not India... dude, c'mon... Same as when everybody pronounces RafeeEl Nadal, it's Rafa-E-l, the "E" sounding like, again, Elefant FFS 🙄 Thanks for the video though
What an honor for Ale! All jokes aside, great video Sandy, being able to learn from the best is awesome

I like the way those players are thinking about shot decision. They are thinking way ahead. The shot selection is mostly based on the position of the opponents.
Also, do not try to cover the risky option.
It is like a game of chess, thinking moves ahead and always considering the percentage chances...
@@ThePadelSchool and with their positioning, their buying themselve so much time that they still have a lot of options before taking the decision.

I have a lavalier mic usually, I just didn’t have 2…and didn’t want to invade personal space! Haha
I used a shotgun mic for this but noticed it wasn’t as good as I’d hope.
