I can't help but think about my 450 days. I built a super nice $700 all metal head kit. Radio failed, went full negative collective in a hard climb out, impacted the ground at 7 times the speed of light (Okay, so 1/4 the speed of sound, but it sure felt like it). Replaced it with a literal $50 kit that ALSO had a full metal head that I bought about a year later. I don't know what it is about saying "Watch this", but it's like it tells the universe "Now! NOW! IT HAS TO BE NOW! BAD THINGS NEED TO HAPPEN NOW!". And then they do. Lol! :P I'd noticed the collective jiggle a few times in my raptor a few times before that, but I chalked it up to interference. Nope. Failing pot.
Ditto. 500 was the best. It's been 15 years since i built or flew an r/c heli. Flybarless units were just starting to come onto the market when i got out... If i did build another one, it'd be a Goblin 420 (500 ish size)... 6s 2500 mah is about right...
@@banzaiibHoly jesus, I just had a look at that heli... Very nice. I have to say, it's astonishing how lithium/brushless has changed things. When first got into the electrics, they were barely flying. Now? I'm not much in the hobby anymore, but I'd think the bigger stuff is superior to nitro now. :/ I mean, ffs, they make literal orbital booster rockets that use brushless lithium powered turbopumps. Turbopumps are the most insane thing imaginable... And they made electric ones. Lol!
@@GamingHelp hah, yeah, i' feel ya. When i got into electrics there was basically one brand of batteries that was worth a crap "Thunder power", and good luck affording one. Everything else was a fire risk, if not filled with saw-dust :) There's something special about r/c helis. Every kid and their friend can fly a drone, but you show up to a field with a helicopter, and you'll have 10 people askin' about it before you're done for the day.
Tee hee... Drones. I have to wonder how many true helis end up as parts because people think it's the same deal. If there's one truism about rotary wing, it's that it's harder than you can possibly imagine at first. I remember some material I read in the 90's claiming "New pilots probably can't tell if their heli is in trim". Boy, they hit that on the head. I swore my nitro was busted when I first flew it. Lol! Such a crazy skill really... :P
Lol, I was hearing the battery dump towards the end. He could also lower headspeed or collective a bit. But for max, it is what it is. Maybe a better battery.
Hi, toller Flug, wie lange fliegst du schon hubis, hast du mal nen Kurs gemacht oder am Sim geübt? Ich bin zur zeit an dem Punkt wo ich einfach nicht mehr weiter komme mit meinen Flugskills und möchte gerne noch besser werden. Wäre also echt super, wenn du mir da vielleicht weiterhelfen könntest.
Ich fliege viel am sim und so viel wie möglich in echt und das ist im Prinzip mein Rezept. Ich fliege seit knapp 2 Jahren jetzt Heli, bin aber nicht komplett bei null angefangen, da ich schon seit 5 jahren Fläche fliege.
Markus K. Ich fliege den phoenix sim. Empfehlen kann ich den aber leider nicht mehr da der support eingestellt wurde. Was aktuell das beste ist kann ich nicht genau sagen...
Aber auch nicht ganz ungefährlich die Dinger also ich würde es nicht fliegen aber selbst beim zuschauen mega. habe grade angefangen auch Helikopter zu fliegen aber viel kleiner so 180.

550 is not good Air, I like 700 Air.Because the 550 and 700 are similar in size but only have half the power, it's a strange setting.
