- Jaddanbai (1892 - 8 April 1949) was an early singer, music composer, actress and filmmaker of Bollywood and one of the pioneers of Indian cinema. She was the mother of well-known actress Nargis, and maternal grandmother of Sanjay Dutt. She was the first female music director in the Indian film industry, followed by Saraswati Devi.

All the women singers & actresses were used to be tabayef those days because girls from reputed class were not allowed to sing or act . Great grandmother of Kajol was also a tabayef. Her name was

@@gmvn19 correct ! Deepanbai was famous courtesan of Allahabad and used to perform Mujra at house of Moti lal Nehru. Her daughter Jaddanbai was illegitimate daughter of Nehru, she even used tie rakhi to Jawahar.

Yes however he converted to becoming a Muslim.Punjabi-speaking Mohyal Brahmin Hindu who converted to Islam and adopted the name Abdul Rashid.
