The last time I replaced ball joints on a vehicle, they were riveted and I had to drill them out and bolt some in so I just want to be careful. Will any ball joint installer tool work great or do you have a recommendation on a part number or characteristic? Thanks

You picked a great Jeep to install these on, that tire flop at 0:56 as you were lifting it was insane!

    Do these fit with RCVs?

Yes, that was one of the design parameters - to clear RCV's.

Y'all know what y'all forgot with this instruction video? I just completed this task of changing out my ball joints in my JT & I got lucky that I didn't tear something up. For the rest reading the comments before or after watching this video, this is very important to do if you're changing your ball joints....
#1 Open your front differential fluid valve & drain your differential oil
#2 Loosen your F.A.D. that is located in the rear area of the your front axle. It was easier when I had this on jack stands & could get under the vehicle easier. Carefully take FAD motor off & slide out "fork-like" control that connects/disconnects your Front Axle Disconnect & pull out spline-piece.
#3 Now you may carefully pull out axle-shafts

thanks for bringing that up. We've swapped BJ's on numerous FAD equipped axles without out having to disconnect the FAD since the inner fork keeps the collar in the correct position and the shaft simply slides back in (usually). We also lift the side that you're working on slightly so that you don't lose any fluid. You could play it safe and remove the FAD/fork, but it hasn't been an issue during our installs. Worse case is that the shaft won't go back in and then you have to pull the FAD at that point.

@@metalcloak question now if I install this baller joint , and later replacing to RCV. Do I have to take off the screws etc ?
