6 years later this is STILL the best fan made coaster I've ever seen on any platform/game...the pacing, layout, near misses, originality and the way it somehow syncs with the movie from the Matrix......mind blowing. 10 years from now I'll keep returning to this video, it will literally never get old.
This does not let up, it's constant exhilaration, so many interactive elements. Superb trackwork and supporting. Can't wait to see what else you come up with. Awesome job!
One of my favorite videos of the roundup 100 winner list. It's not only because the music fits so well to the video and the ride itself, but also because the rides looks absolutely amazing, intense, thrilling but realistic and the duelling spots just work perfectly.
Now that was epic! :D and the score synced so well with the certain inversions and fly-bys! And Omega's part... You can feel the adrenaline/fight intensify!
This video is awesome! The rides themselves are fantastically made, the music goes perfectly with the rides' elements, and also that first drop on Omega looks INSANE
thank you :) that was kind of the main idea that made me start to build this ride, the fact that it is possible to control the passengers viewing direction with the 4D coaster
WOW! This is easily the best 4D coaster I've ever seen. Definitely one of the best dueling coasters I've seen. Awesome job man! This just shows that there's some genuinely amazing stuff that can be created on NL2.
Holy cow!! You guys are blowing me away with these. Specifically fantastic job on this Zampano! I was wondering when you'll drop this bomb. Best 4D ever, seriously!
Geeze. That was epic. Everything was incredible...really top notch. That music especially was phenomenal! It sounds like it's from the Matrix but seems to fit the ride way too well...awesome, awesome ride.
Yooooooo this is dope as hell. i can just imagine riding this and looking at the other people. I was literally smiling the whole time watching like omg. If your neverender coaster didnt win me over, this one surely did. This is by far the best coaster ive seen in nl2. Great job , I hope to see something far more amazing than this in the near future
This is UNBELIEVABLY OUTSTANDING!!! The best coaster I've EVER SEEN by a MILE!!! Great job!!! (P.S. Make a sister coaster [Gamma Epsilon, Beta Xi, I don't know], and make it white and blue!!!
This ride just blew me away, I honestly feel that it was robbed, this should have been top 5 at least. The interaction is some of the best that I've seen.
I tried to find the email of S&S Worldwide (the company who makes this style of coaster) and also tried to find Tim Timco's (president of S&S Worldwide) email but could not prevail! I WANT TO EMAIL THIS TO THEM!!!
Holy fucking shit, this is completely nuts. I wonder how many hundreds of hours were put into this... The result is simply unbelievable and amazing! I seriously wonder who won 1st place as I can't figure out how it can get better than this.
Still hoping some oil billionaire see's this video and has it built at Dubailand...lets be honest, nowhere else in the world is gonna cough up the $50million+ to B&M to have it done.
Cant see Cedar point ever making something like this for multiple reasons, they already have a wing coaster, they don't have the room and for the cost they could have 2 other rollercoasters...just wouldn't be economical.
Jup, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have the room for it and unfortunately the 4D's didn't really prove themselves in reality. Even more so because I really pushed the boundaries on speed and forces, which would really put the technology to a test. But technically these are two different rides, and I could imagine the fact that they interact in a new way wouldn't be bad for promotion, so I wouldnt necessarily say that two different rollercoasters would be much better for them marketing-wise. However, these are still huge and with al the beefy supports and such I can imagine that 4D coasters aren't cheap in general, so you could most likely build at least 3 other rollercoasters instead of this :D
+zampano I agree, it surely can be done...universal did it with duelling dragons, all it takes is the ambition and investment. If an investor took your video to B&M and said "replicate this at my park, I don't care about the cost" I'm pretty sure they could replicate it and then some....maybe even add a launch or two, they recently did it with one of their wing coasters.
side note, S&S would be the ones to build it considering they took over after arrow went under. B & M has the winged coaster, which is similar, but the seats dont move.
This coaster, through the dueling element and the Matrix soundtrack, actually succeeds in doing what all theme park rides try and often fail to achieve: It tells a STORY. Of an epic, balls-to-the-wall battle, with the (un)fortunate riders caught slap bang in the crossfire! It ends with both warriors realizing there's no victory against the other and joining up again at the end. What are the stats for this? Length (combined and separate), height (looks at least 200ft) and speed?
Wow thank you very much for the kind words! :) The overall length is nearly 400 meters / 13.000 ft and there's a total height difference of 74 m/240 ft. I'm not exactly sure about the top speed right now and I'm a little busy but it should be somewhere around 110 km/h I guess. If you have got NL2, you can download it and check it your own if you like :) links are in the description.
After watching if for the 20th time in the last three years I thought about counting the car rotations. If I didn't miscount, both trains end with exactly 0 rotation and stay within 720 degrees, one full frontflip and backflip. Was this intentional to stay realistic? Or is this enforced by NL2? No matter which, it makes this track layout even more incredible.
Thanks a lot! It is in fact limited to 360° in either direction, because it is the same in real life due to the mechanism controlling the rotation: an additional set of rails on the inside of the track changing in relative height along the layout. Extra bogies that run on those are connected to vertical gear racks which in turn move gears attached to the seats. It's quite an interesting mechanism and kinda explains why 4D Coasters were such a pain in the ass for Arrow.
Ok I have a crazy idea... 4 dueling intamin stratacoasters called "the four horsemen" and you could play the four horsemen from Metallica in the background!
As cool as this would be, it's about 5 times longer than any existing 4D coasters which cost around $50 million to build like X, and then you want to build a second! Just don't see it happening... Ever, just isn't practical...
That face off in the beginning is so epic
What the actual f*ck..... This is incredible. Editing and coaster itself... I have few words.

I've never seen music match a no limits video so well
+CG Coasters Thanks! Combination of dumb luck and careful editing :)
+zampano Carful editing *LOL*
WHAT THE HELL?! This is amazing! One of the most impressive things I've seen in NL2
+Tim van der Steen Huge compliment, thank you :) I really like your stuff btw!
I can't even think of the words to use to praise this enough. THE EVERYTHING! I need to step my game up.
This along with Magnusson's Magnificent Flying Machine are my 2 favorite rides of round-up 100.
+Sokobansolver I loved Magnusson's Magnificent Flying Machine, too =)
This does not let up, it's constant exhilaration, so many interactive elements. Superb trackwork and supporting. Can't wait to see what else you come up with. Awesome job!
It's the way my jaw dropped noticing that they were dueling. The BEST coaster/coasters I've seen on nl2. Hands down, you did a fonaminal job 👏🏾
Theme Park Review just featured this video on their Facebook page and it's blowing up like crazy!

bestdani couldn’t agree more

I've got to admit this one's pretty awesome. Nice job in rotating the seats to focus on the opposing tracks trains
thank you :) that was kind of the main idea that made me start to build this ride, the fact that it is possible to control the passengers viewing direction with the 4D coaster
Everything about this video is incredible. The coaster, the editing, the Matrix music - fucking phenomenal. Well done.

Looking back on roundup 100, this is one of the rides I still remember now and will remember for a long time. Absolutely incredible work.
Aww, thanks :)

zampano I mean the music through the video lol
Just amazing!
