Pringles ARE stackable chips. The show was probably not allowed to show the actual brand, but these are made the same way. They’re both fake potato chips
@@aidanmacta4936 Theres no joke here silly, if not one that makes any sense or has a purpose. Quit your r/woosh business, you're using it wrong and it's annoying.
If you're wondering why they don't call these Pringles, it's because Pringles is trademarked and Kellogs currently owns that brand. The "pringles" depicted here are basically cheap knockoffs but I would imagine the process for making actual Pringles is very similar. "Stackable chips" is the more generic term , sort of how Q-tips are a type of "cotton swab" and tupperware is a specific brand of "plastic storage container" (who the hell even says that?)
Pringles is the only brand which uses that hyper paraboloid shape, as that is patented, so many of these offbrands uses similar shapes but are never hyper paraboloids.
When she just threw away the broken chip instead of eating it my heart stoppped. Incidentally, my heart would actually stop if I worked there and ate all the broken chips for 8 hours.
It's traditionally not chips It's mash potatoes 60% and 40% corn starch Chips are thinly sliced potatoes I think Pringles took out the chips in from their can sometime ago 🤔
this video was super informative and really well made! i had no idea about the whole process behind Pringles. but i gotta say, some people argue that they're not even real potato chips. i think calling them that kinda takes away from traditional chips, don’t you?
1:24 cmon I know if we were a worker in here we would’ve devoured some of these Pringles plus in most factories the food is already seasoned and cooked by the time the food transfers to the workers to inspect.
I wonder how much people weigh after working in the factory for six months. And stacking chips all day? utterly boring - I could stand one day of that.
I love how in 1968 someone was like let’s make the monopoly guy sell crisps/chips but what should we call the brand? A random guy: Guys I’m gonna call Ringo Starr A guy who muddles up words and letter: you’re gonna call Pringle Scar? The guy who had the idea: Good job David! I shall call these crisps/chips Pringles!
this video is so well-edited and really informative! it's fascinating to see how something so popular is made. but honestly, do we really need that much flavoring in chips? sometimes i feel like less is more, you know?

great video, really loved the insight into how Pringles are made! but honestly, do you think the unique shape of the chips takes away from the authentic taste of regular potato chips? it's a bit controversial, but i feel like the texture just isn't the same.
