Hi Alli! I know the feeling of a crochet slump! For me what I've been doing, is I've been taking little breaks from crocheting like a few days at a time just doing another hobby, I've been playing some video games, watching some Anime, and reading some new books! And while I'm working on my crochet, I'll take a few days break to read, or to play a game, or to watch some shows sometimes ill try to get a few stitches in while I'm watching but when im taking a break I try not to stress much about my project 😊 I've been getting some crocheted Marshmallow bunny Peeps made and some little rainbow baskets for them to sit in ! 😁 also yarn shopping helped me too, I found Bernat Bundle Up, its a 100% polyester and so soo soft and nice to work with! And then for the baskets I got Caron simply soft in the colors rainbow brights and baby brights and those two colorways pool soo soo nicely for small projects like amigurumis and little baskets and such!! Thank you for the tips Alli! Its great to see you getting out of your crochet slump!! I can't wait to see your finished project!! And no rush! Take your time and enjoy your craft! Also I totally feel you in the sitting or laying in bed! I always end up getting too cozy and dozing off and not working much on my project! Lol!! I've been sitting outside on my front porch and its been really nice! And its funny you mentioned friends sending you inspo, my mom sent me a pattern for a crochet shark last night and its so soo cute and I wanna make it hahaha! I don't have any actual friends, but my mom sends me inspo often haha! Much love Alli! Have a wonderful day!😁😁
@@maria_403 It’s a local one that i’m not sure if there’s any others around the country i know that i’ve also seen a few other like hospice shops selling cheap yarn as well!
Hey! My tip is to watch some crochet youtubers, like when they are yarn shopping or telling about their things they wanna make, it motivates me every time :)
I was talking with a friend today about how I wish my crojo would come back. Until it does, I'll just do some happy yarn and pattern shopping. 🙂 Can I ask, what town is this magical Michael's store located in?
Michael’s has multiple locations (that I’m aware of) based in Canada and the United States. I know a few people in the UK who tend to shop at Hobby Craft which seems to be similar
Ik this was 1 yr ago but I too live in the uk! I find that hobby craft is a great alternative to the Joanne’s/Michaels shop feeling! It has lots of wool and even different materials for other different crafts. Overall it’s a great little local craft shop
If you get in a slump, you don’t have to try really hard to get back on track but you should rather enjoy what you are doing at the moment, after a while, you’ll get back to crocheting in no time, just enjoy your new hobby or what you need to do :)
Ok so I have an idea. If you are not motivated to crochet or knit but you feel like you need to make a video, maybe you could react to crochet tiktok or knit tiktok. Just and idea! :>

Tips for any british crocheters! Charity shops are a saviour i got 5 large balls of yarn for £1 and they were a great quality!
What charity shop did you go to? This would be very useful for me😁

I was recently in one but got back on track
You need a chromecast for your tv! You can stream TH-cam and other apps from any device without exposed cables
Game changer imo!
