I love that you talked about this at story camp. I like the idea of doing project life on a monthly basis rather than weekly. It just seems less overwhelming. 🧡

It totally is - I love just picking one day and doing it then.

I started monthly 3 years ago & 9 x12. Amazing what a mere 3" makes as far as weight & storage.

Yea! For continuing Monthly spreads for your PL! Could you consider doing it in a 12x12?

Hey Ali...do the paper trays under your printer in the Expedit hold 12 x 12 paper? I have glanced at them at Ikea but never thought about needing them and now I do need them for a variety of reasons.

Hello, love your videos!! I wanted to know what size album do you recommend for a progression of gender reveal to maternity shoot to baby shower and then the new baby. I really don't want to do 12x12 and was looking into 9x12 but I also like the idea of 6x8 and 6x12. Thanks!

Hi! I think 6x8 would be an awesome size for documenting/telling that kind of story.

Ali, I love your layouts. I went to your website but couldn’t find a 9x12 album. Where can I find a 9x12 photo album? (Is that what you’re using?)

I'm waiting for project life products so I can start this hobby of memory keeping. But I can't decide where to start. How I want to approach it 🙄 I have a PL 12x12 album that I got a long time ago and waiting for a 6x8 album. I wish to do weekly layouts. Should I just start right now and do a album that are for sept-dec 19 and start fresh with another album to start jan-20 so I can do yearly albums or how can I do it?

Start now! Years from now, you won't be upset with yourself for not completing the whole year but will cherish what you have accomplished! If you feel inspired, start right away! I've completed some years week to week and some years with monthly approach. Week to week approach can feel repetitive after awhile (on the other hand, forces you to dig deeper for the stories) but at times I fall into the "mechanical documenting" with monthly approach. My favorite is to mix it up, I mainly stick with monthly approach but at times (summer, holidays..) I do weekly approach in the same album. Sometimes my monthly spreads are just two pages and sometimes they are way longer. All the possibilities!

@@Benessi4ever I always over-think stuff and planning and I should just quit and just start without thinking too much 😄 I do feel very motivated and should just begin documenting where we are right now, so you are right. I should just start and not limit myself with the idea of just doing weekly or monthly and think more like "going with the flow" and go with what I feel like doing at that moment. Watched a few of Becky Higgins videos and she has been keep saying that we shouldn't think too much and make it complicated for our selfs 😉 Need to follow that advice!

My situation was similar to you. I just started scrapbooking august last year. I really wanted to do the 12x12 weekly spreads for 2018 but I also really wanted the whole year done. At the time I thought it would bug me to only have a couple months of the year done. Looking back on my photos I realized that I did not have enough pictures or stories for weekly spreads, but I had enough to do a monthly spread! I used a 6x8 album and did monthly spreads, and now for 2019 I am working on weekly spreads. I am very happy that I waited for the fresh year to do this. You should consider starting now with your 6x8 album and look for the stories you wish to remember. Have Fun!

Being almost October, will this be one pl album for all of 2019?

I'm pretty sure it will need a second one to space it out a bit - not sure.

Hey there Ali 🤗 you've been such an inspiration in my project life journey for the last couple of years as I worked my way through organizing 25 years with of photos and committing to realbuming into project life albums (I've redone 1998-2014) 😳 and I'm still working kynway forward. As a documented by nature I had been filming a lot of the process and I decided to share it in youtube. I've just posted my first video in my series "organizing every photo I own" and I feel so humbled and blessed if you'd stop by and give me any feedback you may have. Also I'd live the opportunity to thank Becky and wondered if you knew the best way to go about that? Her twitter and youtube look pretty inactive at this point 🤷‍♀️ Anyway regardless I want to make sure and send a sincere thank you your way for all of the motivation and inspiration you've blessed me with in my journey 🥰 I couldnt have done it with all of you

I know this is unrelated- but the temperature in your house seems to go up and down dramatically- like today you look like you have two long sleeve shirts on and a coat, and other times you have on a short sleeve t-shirt and other times you have a snow hat on. I mean you can ignore this comment , but I just wonder. Lol

Ha! I think it's more about my own internal temperature. I'm often cold + happily put on layers + hats. I live in Oregon and we defiantly have seasons.
