I was under the hood tuning up that squad car when they shut it and drove it off the freeway. The union denied my workman's comp claim, so I spent the rest of my career as a stunt double For Billy Barty.

@@kavinskysmith4094 The E58 was available across the Chrysler police line, not just in the LRE. There were small changes model-to-model and year-to-year, so it gets somewhat complicated to summarize the package in general. The 440 saw its last year in '76. Mine was a '68 CHP Polara I drove in black-and-white with twin spots, and it was scary fast. Not quick, but fast.
Dodge Monaco patrol car in an early '80s show, it's getting blown up after the opening credits. Also walking away from complete crashes w/o seatbelts is so Hollywood...
Yes, I've done it a few times, once it turned out badly. A lot of modern cars have the air intake below the bumper or around there, so you're not going to get far.
Man got to love that highway angle 1:14 when they first started rolling it. Was reminded of Chevy Chase pursuit from Fletch. I love i grew up in the late 70s.. Irony the chase Sene from Fletch is also 1:14 lol th-cam.com/video/WsQLfylZeMo/w-d-xo.html
Whenever you see a Monaco or fury in a 70s or 80s movie or series, you know it wont survive the next scene
TJ hooker will never surpass the king of crashing 1977 Dodge Monacos, one Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane
This is true.

Why’d the union deny it? How were you injured?
Nothing like a Dodge Monaco on full song, lights flashing you know it'll be a chase to remember

T.J. Hooker is now streaming on tubi
That's April from Knight Rider aka Rebecca Holden!
Hooker needs to open a junkyard. I noticed that a lot of the cars they used on that series weren't 'real' ex-cop cars.
Hooker is jump and accident
Shatner - Batman 😂 Romano Robin 😂
What a waste. Hopefully it wasn't an ex-CHP 440 pursuit Monaco.
How did that steering wheel not go through Hookers chest? I know movie magic.
Yup Never go through high water unless you want to suck up water 💦 in your engine 😂 or short out your EV 😜😂
