As a Spider-Man fan, I think the Spider-Man stuff raised VERY FEW good arguments. The faces and attractiveness are purely subjective. I don't mind those but they contribute nothing. Questioning someone choosing the TASM films over the Raimi films is pretty good. BUT bringing up Peter’s intention for wearing the mask really hit home for me. Because both Peter Parkers wanted to kill Ben’s killers. Rewatch Spider-Man 1 to see how Peter treats the carjacker and even intended to give him the same mercy Ben was given (NONE). Spider-Man 3 showed that Andrew's Peter is what Tobey's Peter would have been if he did not catch Ben's killer - obsessive and vengeful. He was happy that Spider-Man 'killed' Sandman and was confused when Aunt May was horrified. He knew snapping at the landlord was wrong (enough to get the symbiote off) but not killing Flint Marko. When it comes to vengeance, both Peters are pretty much the same. The main difference is whether or not the job was done. Tobey finished his; Andrew did not. Also, bullies DON'T go after attractive skater teens? Since when? Their only hope in the 2010s was if their bullies were secretly hopelessly gay. Worked out for a buddy of mine but I doubt Eugene rolls like that. And the thing about bad stuff happening to a random dork who also has a really attractive girlfriend pretty much describes every Peter Parker in existence. From A to Z (Amazing to Zombie).
Not that pedro is a particularly great choice, but i think it truly demonstrates a lack of knowledge in the character if you prefer krasinski, all the hype around him was based on the fact that a single comic used his likeness by coincidence but Reed is a far more interesting and deep character that i dont see krasinski ever pulling off, krasinki will always be a jock or the "cool guy" whereas reed is a hyper intelligent absolute nerd that is so far above everyone else that he cant really help but see them as inferior and simple even if he is a kind person. His lust for knowledge is the cause of many of his problems, and that complicated of a character should go to an actor who has range and intensity, and i can see pedro pulling that off
