usually I enjoy the bonus character development in deleted scenes, but these are harshing my mellow...thank god they cut them, I really like the Amy we get in the finished product.
I saw the original (1985 version) in theaters when I was a kid. Loved Chris Saradon as Jerry Dandridge. The guy oozed charm out of his pores but what sold it for me was PETER. Peter was fun, funny and tragic. So much pathos for a side character. As it is, I also loved the remake (2011 version). I thought the chemistry between Colin Farrell (who played a cool and psycho-creepy version of Jerry) and Anton Yelchin (Charley) was interesting. I still can't point my finger at what made it work but they did. My only disappointment was actually Peter. I liked McLovin in the role but the original actor who played him stole my heart. I'll never get over it. Sorry! In the end, both films were great!
These scenes were in the movie at the IMAX theater when it came out opening night. I saw them. They were canned after it was released on Blu-Ray and DVD.
He was in his garage... 'indirect' sunlight doesn't kill a vampire... A vamp-fan would know. There's also Jerry's introduction in the movie itself where he gets introduced to Charley while outside it's twilight...
In my opinion they are two different movies with the same characters. The director said that he did not want to make this a remake but it's own movie. Both of the original and this one are great even though i like this one a bit better.
I was in the scene where there at school and you can see me behind the blond chicks head i was in the long denim dress talking to people Soooo cool !XD to bad its a deleted scene :( still cool !
@BanAllCheaters At least they had Chris Sarandon as a cameo. It took me just a second to realize who he was but a close up of the face and the voice was a dead giveaway.
@BanAllCheaters Also, when they do remake old films, be they crappy, so-so, or good, they are really intended to get the future generations to go out and buy the old original film and promote revival of the classics of the 80s genre, etc. be it from the old b/w films to the campy films like My Bloody Valentine, and boy did the remake pull through, the best 3D film where everything stood out like a dagger in the eye!
Yeah that's not what makes it silly. He's a vampire, they don't eat or drink anything at all except drink blood. Having him eat an apple in this or in the 80s version is a little twilighty you know:-)
I must ask: Are you a vampire lover? Sorry it just seems like you are not that I hate vampires like them too I just find it funny that I'm not the only Vampire lover out there lol!
First of all don't call me kid. I'm probably older then you. And the orignal might be older but this one isn't, and twilighty is just a term for it. You really like a film so much you are willing to go online and insult people who says different, and you have the audacity to call someone else a kid?
I didn't mind it either, i just found it silly. And now that you've explained it to me i foind even more silly. The actor came up with it to kind of show how the character had evolved. That's just down right dumb. It's a movie not a book so he has to actually explain it to us in interviews for it to make sense. That's not exactly good filmmaking
See that's one thing you kids of the internet need to learn. To think before talking or in this writing. You insult people left and right. The second you disagree with the slightest thing it's these kids today and blah blah blah.. But hey apologise later so it's all good. No it isn't. It just makes you a hypocrite. THINK BEFORE TALKING OR KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT
They don't have to. I mean it's not going to do them any good eating apples or drinking beer but it's more to fit in (in the original anyway). To seem more human to anyone watching so they don't suspect something. And it's not like he's have a bunch of food like in Twilight like dinner or something. It's just an apple. And that's really the only problem they have with the vampire myths. Plus, in both the original and the other, they make vampires out to be pretty terrifying. Unlike Twilight :)
This kid was a great actor ❤😊🎉 great light soul
usually I enjoy the bonus character development in deleted scenes, but these are harshing my mellow...thank god they cut them, I really like the Amy we get in the finished product.
They should have kept the one where Charley sticks up for Ed, it shows that he really does care about his best friend. LOL at the last scene!
AngelWitch93 don’t forget Charley and Ed have their childhood best friend Adam too. Three of them were childhood best friends.
I agree the scene when he sticks up for him was in my opinion pretty heartwarming
Apparently the vampires here can also eat human food.Jerry drinks beer and eats apples.
Alcohol would help deal with immortality.
and apparently the apple has some meaning from his past
Did you that Jerry is part fruit bat and that's why you see he eat apples in this one and in the original
Yes it's completely moronic.
In the old film jerry ate apples 2 he is a fruit bat

What made it work? Colin Farrell had a certain 'predatory' vibe on him...must be those black sharklike eyes.
RIP ; Anton Yelchin...
I see that, but that is like my favorite thing about the movie. A vapire taht eats apples and drinks beer, that's freaking awesome.
RIP eternal to the spirit once known as Anton Yelchin.
David Tennant and Anton Yelchin.... Just perfect, man!!!!
These scenes add a lot!
These scenes were in the movie at the IMAX theater when it came out opening night. I saw them. They were canned after it was released on Blu-Ray and DVD.
Really?! When I went to see this in theatres, none of those scenes were in the film. I only saw them on blu ray
Dave franco and that vampire guy!! ahhh
He was in his garage... 'indirect' sunlight doesn't kill a vampire... A vamp-fan would know. There's also Jerry's introduction in the movie itself where he gets introduced to Charley while outside it's twilight...

That ARE YOU SURE scene got me. Huhu
Anton. Why so soon.
but how many people want to be that apple?
Vampire eating a apple is better than a sparkly vampire.
1:45 It get's hot in a the open garage!
Grace Phipps is very beautiful!!!💓💗😍
2:20 is that Dylan from Modern Family?!
Someone really likes this guy.......to catch such a detail.
I was in the scene where there at school and you can see me behind the blond chicks head i was in the long denim dress talking to people Soooo cool !XD to bad its a deleted scene :( still cool !
You are right my friend only direct sunlight will burn a vamp.
Wow he makes that apple look delicious
Why wasn't that second to last clip in the movie.
4:24 omg they are so cute 😍
Why did they think a guy who is clearly going bald would make a good teenager?
he actually had lots of hair. ps he's dead now if you didn't know. have a good day.
CajunKhan you're right!
itskirstenxx so?
He looked like a teen so stfu
because jerry cares about his nutrition :0
lol
Did you see an introduction to the deleted scenes by the director? Because it says there is one on the box and I couldn't find it anywhere.
a scene taken from the original movie.... but in that one he throws the apple at the spying Charlie
0:47 :) I guess we all want to facebook him ;) ♥ Blazing hot ♥
@BanAllCheaters At least they had Chris Sarandon as a cameo. It took me just a second to realize who he was but a close up of the face and the voice was a dead giveaway.
The last deleted scene was pretty funny LOL
It made zero sense.
He might jut like the taste of them lol.
Yeah, you'd think somebody that looks up this sorta thing, would know by now, with all the vampire movies these days and all... :p
They should have kept the scene with Charlie hitting that bully. Amy in this film was very shallow.
I love it it is amesome!

Can someone explain the last deleted scene of back at the penthouse? I don’t get it.
In the original Jerry ate apples. I think its because they're good for your teeth.
😂😂😂

"Fuckin' MacGyver"? Seriously?! MacGyver refference to TENNANT?!.xD They should've kept it.xD It's awesome.
First of all don't call me kid. I'm probably older then you.

They needed to keep the last scene
The last part isn't deleted -.-
The guy at 2:20 looks like Nico Rondet xD
I didn't mind it either, i just found it silly. And now that you've explained it to me i foind even more silly. The actor came up with it to kind of show how the character had evolved. I have to agree with you there, Amy was looking quite the arrogant wench.
A vampire eating an apple. What's up with that?
I thump harder than he can hit lol.
Does anyone else notice how Colin does this weird head flick/turn before he eats the apple lol
See that's one thing you kids of the internet need to learn. To think before talking or in this writing. You insult people left and right. In the original Jerry was 1000 years old in this one he is 400 years old
