Yup. Its some of the animated scenery. Mostly the skies on the snowmachines going around, they occasionally get sideways and slide across the edge of the scenery and make that noise. The trains are up to snuff!

This is the MOST WONDERFULL Christmas layout I've seen so far. I watch this Christmas video at least eight times already. I was station at Elmemdorf from 1978 to 1988, I really miss Alaska. Can you tell what is the radius track you use, that has the Shay loco running on?
Well thank you for watching and watching more than once! And thank you for your service at Elmendorf! The Shay runs the double helix on O-36 curve. Its so low geared it is able to navigate the steeper climb on the tighter radius. Just like a real Shay! There is everything from O-27 to O-42 in the little show.
