This display is the best I've seen. It's touches your heart and soul with combination of music and the sounds each train with their particular sounds from train track, smoke from the engine and town vignettes inspires beautiful and wonderful memories. Thank you.
This is simply beautiful. I wish I had the where with all to just begin a project like this as my 5 year old grandson not just loves trains, but is beginning to "speak the language". thank you for sharing your masterpiece.
Fantastic craftsmanship and design!! The string lights around the tracks enhance the trains running on the tracks! At first you had me fooled with the fireplace as it looked natural to me but nice background. Very nice video and I enjoyed watching! Merry Christmas!
Thanks! The 65" digital fireplace is the joke of the yearly show. The Christmas show is where I get to have a little fun and expand outside my tiny train room and come up with fun and different ideas to try and share with everyone! Merry Christmas to you too!
AWESOME, EXCELLENT and PERFECT!!!!! Where did you get that tree topper with the train running around at? That was a cool way to attach the lights to the boards with those chrome colored clips. Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work.
Tthank you! I got the tree topper a few years ago, I ordered it online from Balsam Hill. I don't see it on their website today but it may just be out of stock. Those color anodized paper clamps take forever to put on and take off every year because there are so many of them, but they were the perfect solution to put up a thin string light for an edging that I could remove to break down and put away the double helix. Already working on next years show!
This has inspired me to do something like this in my home. This video is what I've been looking for on a Christmas layout. I have a question! Is your one layout with the tree constructed from an old table? Awesome job!
Thanks for the great comments! The bottom is actually a 4'x4' square of plywood with a 2"x2" frame under it and some very short screw on round wooden feet for something like an ottoman on the 4 corners and in the center to support the tree. I'm sure you could use an old table with the legs shortened, but I didn't happen to think about doing that.

Trying to squeeze a quarter in a slot for a dime with what little space I have in my house. Hopefully a new video will be up sometime by the coming weekend. Never enough time!
@@AkRyder68 I just picked up a new LGB(72324) Rio Grande starter train.from my local Facebook marketplace for a steal! It has never been used. The seller also included other LGB items.The Rio Grande caboose(4065) plus one 12x10000 straight track kit and the whole complete oval track(19902).....All this for $200!! These were never used in their original boxes!...I guess I got a good deal and start towards my future layout like yours!

LGB is G gauge isn't it? I know they make some nice stuff or at least it looks nice.
