The beskar in that ship is ORGY OF EVIDENCE. It was planted. As advised by "liberated" Elia Kane. To sunder the ties between New Republic and Mandalorians. Also, derelict ship conveniently sitting on the subspatial patrol path of that very same officer.
Also the Armorer clear out stated that beskar should be used for armor, not for weapons. Otherwise Mando would still have that awesome spear.

That New Republic outpost base had a Vietnam era American base vibe, amazing how they can show us new locations and daily life. Gideon probably framed the Mandos to throw off the New Republic. I believe the armourer has realized and accepted that although there are different creeds of Mandalorian all walking different paths, despite their differences, they are all still Mandalorians. And that there isn't just one way - they don't all have to follow the exact same helmet always on creed. She perhaps realises now that it's all these silly little differences amongst the creeds are what weakened Mandalore, allowed the Empire to destroy them and that is why they are all scattered across the galaxy. And if they are ever to be strong and reunited again, they need to accept each other for their differences. That to be Mandalorian alone, "Is the way." And because Bo Katan was prepared to accept the ways of their sect with helmet always on, then perhaps the armorers sect should also accept those who remove their helmets? So the one who walks both paths and has Royal heritage is the logical choice to unite & lead them. They need to adapt in order to survive.

I look forward to the reactions from you two just as much I do the actual episodes every week. So much fun seeing your enthusiasm throughout this and The Bad Batch Journeys. Thank you guys for making the day even better.
May the Force be with you!

Don’t forget there was Mandalorian commandos that worked for the empire under Gar Saxon or maybe even this idea which is a long shot but maybe it was Sabine Wren who was capturing Moff Gideon for info on where Thrawn is cuz wherever he is Ezra might there as well 🤔

Thank you, Bendu, for your theory on the beskar found on the abandoned ship. I was confused about that watching the ending. As always I look forward to your reactions and analysis.

Okay I have a quandary for Kyle and Bendu and really anyone else that has a theory, so this might be a little long. I absolutely loved the action in this episode, but it also contrasted with what we know about Mandalorian combat both in canon and in legends. From everything I remember the major tenet, forged fighting forces users but now adapted and applied to all, of Mandalorian combat is constant aggression. They are not long-range fighters they know their armor can take a hit so using all the weapons and gadgets they on them and in their armor, they close to medium or close range and don't let up. They constantly attack to keep their opponents on the defensive until they tire, which is honestly smart and make perfect sense. The Children of the Watch really didn't do that this episode but that is very much how Bo-Katan has fought in the show so far. I also, don't think we can discount it as not meaning anything as the end of season two Luke shows a mix of saber form V from Anakin/Vader (Anakin also used form IV a lot as I recall) and form III which is from Obi-wan. Kelleran is also shown to be a defensive Jar' Kai user which is one of the only things we knew about him and totally fits with both his nickname and his role as Dean/Protector of the younglings. My point is this show usually doesn't just do thing because they look cool. Despite all their training has their secrecy kept the Children of the Watch from having as much combat experience as Bo-Katan (she has been in the thick of it) or do they have different martial traditions altogether? I don't know I am curious what other people think. Great episode either way!

I think that's a valid point. Almost getting genocided by the Empire made them bury underground kind of like the Jedi did !!! One thing they have in common. fighting is like any other skill, you need to practice constantly especially when working as a group. Doing drills, etc is good but ask anyone who has ever played a sport or been in combat...it's not the same as real life experience.

I like to think that the CotW rule about Helmets was adopted after the Fall of Mandalore as a form of penance when the cult spun out of Deathwatch. Retaking Mandalore would therefore "Atone" for the shame and have the rule lifted (either in general, or at least when ON Mandalore)

The Armorer is such a badass. Doesn't need a blaster or rifle. She can take out enemies with just her hammer and tongs. I can see why she is so respected by her covert. Looks like she's throwing her support for Bo-Katan after gaslighting her at first about seeing a mythosaur.

The thing about the beskar in the Lambda shuttle is: What would those New Republic guards have had with them that could have taken a chunk of beskar off of something? I bet it was a deliberate red herring to make the Republic think that Mandalorians took him (they have a pretty plausible motive), but really he's back with his Imperial holdouts.

Its actually not a Deathwatch symbol (even though it is) but a Shriekhawk symbol because they are the Shriek Hawk training team. They are part of the Shriek Hawk clan probably because they have killed one maybe but it would be cool it they connected them to Deathwatch

Zeb is the THIRD live-action Rebels character in The Mando series. Remember Grogu saw a Purrgil while in hyperspace in the 1st or 2nd ep

  • @shadowcat1606

Yes, my personal take on the beskar alloy in the Lambda-shuttle was that it's a piece off of a Dark Trooper, too. It makes sense, too... Dark Troopers could board a Shuttle out in the vakuum of space, casually waiting to ambush it along its projected flight path. Mandalorians would have to get there via a carrier-ship, which would alert the Lamdba-shuttle. Mandalorian mercenaries are an option, too, of course. Bo-Katan said most Mandalorians, amongst them her former followers, are basically just soldiers of fortune now. They could also be remnants of Gar Saxon's Mandalorian Super Commandos. Then there's also the possibility that it might just be planted evidence and Moff Gideon trying to pit his enemies against each other.
And yes, it IS Zeb... credits confirm it for those who weren't sure before. So happy they did it. And the fact that they went full CGI for him (and it looking DAMN good) instead of practical effects as they mostly did so far for aliens in the live-action shows leads me to believe that we are gonna see more of him in one way or another in scenes were full-body prosthetics might be a hindrance. And seeing how "Ahsoka" is supposed to be a quasi-sequel to Rebels... well, here's hoping. I sure hope Hera follows suite at one point.

The one thing I gotta raise my eyebrow at was the Armorer’s fight scene. She’s taking metal hammers to unarmored heads, that’s not going to make a metal-on-metal clanging noise. Maybe it was a little too grim for Star Wars, but those pirates aren’t getting up after that hit.

Guys, I noticed on the Star Wars logo before the show starts, they have CG Star Wars characters come up before the show starts.... The GOOD guys are in BLUE and the BAD GUYS are in RED. I then noticed there is a RED Mandalorian helmet as the last character. Either this is an independent Mandalorian or he could be a traitor that they will introduce later in the show.

Next week's episode is directed by Bryce Dallas howard. and I think it was koska reeves and axe wolves that took Gideon. Remember bo katans 2 Mando buds from season 2 she said in this seasons episode 1 they left her side to wonder the galaxy as mercenaries. I also like the super commandos theory

You noticed that the Armorer didn't say "This is the way" after she gave her Bo directive. Bo is officially the Mandalorian. All she needs is the saber back. And why can't Din use the saber after 2 years? Smh.
