I've been crying for 32 years since my husband died. True love is rare and I am blessed to have had it. My husband died making love to me on our 19th anniversary, he had a massive heart attack. We had 3 little boys.
I think Steve should start a line of handkerchiefs… “Hartman Handkerchiefs” because they will come in handy when watching all of these beautiful stories.
Been alone for many years...health has deteriorated tremendously....depression will finish the job cause I do not get out except to grocery shop and pay bills...yeehaw! Thanks Steve for the heartwarming stories!
These stories are so beautiful and heart warming. Each and everyone is worth the time that it took to put them together. I have been single for years, but it has given me hope that love is real and alive. Tears. Thank you for this CBS ❤
This video is what we all need during these difficult times when love seems to be taking a back seat to hate and violence, Thank you Steve for bringing such beauty to the newscast. With tears in my eyes, Krista
The wedding at Mackinac Island story was so beautiful! I came into a large amount of money, so, I bought a package for myself & my sister to go to Mackinac Island. You can take a ferry from the docks to the island. I live in Texas, my sister lives just 10 miles from the ferry docks. Mackinac Island is like stepping back in time. It's going to be such a fun time, reconnecting with my sister. She has done so many kind things for so many people. I'm happy that I can do this for her.
Sitting here watching this after not being able to sleep at 3:55 am only to be surprised to see my uncle and aunts love story on here ! Charles Evans! Whom we call Uncle Layla He’s always been the same, and truly loved my aunt. He also shared his story on the Ellen show. Definitely makes me still believe in love like all these stories ❤
@@joan-mariacbrooks thank you so much!! Yes we are blessed! My uncles love for my aunt has always inspired me! Even when I was younger it could be felt
@Kelleyfechehallmusic I just brought up the Ellen show with your Aunt and mainly your Uncle. That made me cry. Didn't hear the full story on this piece but saw on Ellen. Made me cry.
Can't breathe through my nose. These are so beautiful. I don't know how Steve Hartman does it without breaking down.God bless him for doing all of these.
I believe Steve should be nominated as Person of the Year. Just amazing, heartwarming and inspiring and makes me appreciate humanity and encouragement to give a 💩
The Hale's made me think about my Grandfather and my Dad. My Grandfather was a High School Band Teacher in his career and when he retired he became a band instrument repairman. My Dad sold pianos and organs for the Wurlitzer Company until he retired to become ... you guessed it, a band instrument repairman. 😄 My Grandpa left all his homemade tools to my Dad after he passed and Dad took full advantage! Our house, needless to say, was filled to the brim with the sound of music! 🎶🎹😄
Thank you, Steve Hartman and CBS, for this incredible collection of positive human kindness and true love stories. This proves there is a whole world of good-hearted people with kindness they want to share. I've hit the like thumbs up many times thru tears of sadness and more of joy. I quit watching tv in 2018 and haven't missed out on a thing except for stories of "On the Road Again."" I'll keep my eye open for more of your stories, but I will have to watch this collection again soon. It gives this old lady positive vibes and hope for our country and the world. Keep up the great work.
EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW AND FEEL TRUE LOVE AS THIS. IT TRULY IS RARE THESE DAYS, WITH THE EVIL IN THE WORLD. WE NEED MORE STORIES LIKE THESE INSTEAD OF THE BAD STUFF OF DEATH AND CRIME ALL OF THE TIME. IT IS TIME TO CHANGE THE NARRATIVE TO SOMETHING TO MAKE US HAPPIER AND WANT TO BE A PART IF SOMETHING GOOD.
Happy Father's Day, Steve. Enjoy the company of your 3 children today. I know, like me, you are thinking of your father. It has been 21 years for me and yes, I still feel like an orphan. My mother died 5 weeks after my father. My father had died on his birthday. You have the gift of taking sad, difficult stories and telling them in such a respectful way.
The Hales are so humble. There are ripple effects from their work. The person with Down Syndrome does love deeply and honestly. This particular video is an uplifting compilation of love stories. There is still so much goodness in the world. Thanks to the people who share their stories. Thanks to Steve for bringing us the uplifting stories and you have a special talent for writing!
I haven't watched the whole video yet, but the one that had me tearing up was the wedding reception. In a place without cars?! That was incredibly moving! Those people who just "went to work, doing whatever needed to be done" were all *first class.* I'd love to go to an island without cars-- fascinating. ❤ Beautiful!
I'm a Michigan State Spartan 😊,I got a chance to visit Mcanaw island once at the upper Michigan, beautiful time during spring, the lake is calm. You need nerves to drive over the high bridge, many summer cottages there for rent. The only vehicle permitted are fire trucks and police cars. People bicycle, ride horses. The half island bike ride is approx 8 miles with a tiny airport. The Grand hotel was featured in the movie with Christopher Reed in it. During my time in Michigan, I came across many friendly people all over Michigan, it was easy to get a ride from strangers. So that story didn't surprise me😊 Another islands which is 100% without cars, not even fire trucks is Venice, the streets & bridges are not possible. Everything is transported by boats and ferry, even DHL is by boats.
This is to the couple that repaired musical instruments. When I was in 3rd grade I was so excited my mom said yes I can join the music class. We went to the music store and I tried out a flute....(the lip placement) To my huge dissapointment and heart break we walked out of the music store without my flute. We were poor and couldn't afford it. I am now almost 66 and still wish I could play the flute.
Thank you Mr Steve Hartman,,,,Love is indeed a Verb,,,Love is Blind Deaf and Dumb,,,it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all❤i started believing again
This has meant so much to me on this gloomy day. It made me laugh and cry tears of joy, sharing other people's beautiful stories. I'll be ready for night shift tonight, and maybe ease someone else's burden. Thank you so much.
All such wonderful stories and they all restore your faith in human nature. And ,as for the incredibly big hearted Charles ,everyone should be so lucky to love and be that loved.❣

I am enjoying looking at the senior citizen connecting together on a Sunday afternoon.because I have retired now, so I'm looking at the senior citizen telling their variety of story.
Steve, these stories are incredible wonderful but I’m in bits😢😢if many is us can take some example from these couples we wouldn’t have room for divorce. You truly deserve a medal for your work🎖️ 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤❤❤
I can't even choose which one is the more moving, soothing and loving. These stories are so so moving. Yes, life isn't perfect, but if we try to live together then we can get beautiful stories and beautiful lives. Thank you so very much Steve Hartman. Thank you CBS. These stories are really an upliftment to some persons 🙏🏼.
I was in band in high school and there was a man who travelled fixing brass instruments. Granted it wasn't completely free, but we raised a few thousand dollars to get four sousaphones, one tuba, and six trombones repaired to near new condition. It saved the band and was one of the fondest times in school. For the price of one used sousaphone, he fixed the entire line of instruments. I'm so grateful.
Wow it is nice to see ederly fall in love. It may seem funny to some people but this is owesome because most people think that old people cannot fall in love again. Love has no boundary in age. Thanks for sending this interesting and owesome stories.

The story about the Army widow who fulfilled her promise to her late husband to complete her education really struck a chord with me. I remember how my late husband Tim, an Army and Marines veteran, encouraged me to go back to college after we got married. At a certain point I got discouraged and dropped out shortly before he died. But I am happy to say that less than five years after he passed I went back to school and eventually graduated with BA in English (Tim's major), with a 3.89 GPA and I am so happy to think how happy Tim was of me that day and of every day I carry on, thankful for the time we had together and grateful to God that we will see each other again one day.
