I think a big problem with NYY is the lack of players from their minor league teams. The only good player in the last 5 years that came up in the Yanks’ farm system has been Judge. They’ve had 3-4 good pitchers. Not great but good. There have been a couple of others that have been hurt - Severino for instance. But they have not grown their own. Even the young players they’ve traded away haven’t really been good. Look at most of the other playoff teams. They grew their own. The Yank minor league system has not produced. I think that is the underlying reason they will be above average but not really good for many years to come.

Today Eisen is ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. Keep Judge, Stanton and Rizzo... they must keep Cole (I suppose) and the relievers that are doing great. FLUSH everyone else. Bring Beltran, or Cora, or a good old fashion proven manager to start things from zero.

Stanton standing at the dish admiring everything he hits exemplifies everything that is wrong with the Yankees. They don’t hustle. They don’t show up. And yes, third base coach Phil Nevin (he and I went to the same college) made a terrible mistake by sending Judge home, but that wasn’t the reason they lost. They are complacent. Where is Billy Martin to light a fire under them when you need him?

All these "analysts" from ESPN past and present are homers for the Yankees. It's sickning listening to them year after year pump up this pinstriped retread, even better when this game happens. No team has achieved less with more than the Yankees. Anyone who watches baseball knows the Yankees aren't close to winning anything and haven't been for quite some time. I love watching these homers melt down.
