Thank you SO MUCH for posting this!!!! I have the same exact car- same exact light to replace. You’re seriously my hero here… bc I definitely couldn’t have done this without this vid. You rock.🖤
I highly recommend you switch over to a set of H7 LED's they are SO much brighter and better looking than the old yellow halogen bulbs. Amazon has them for 30 bucks a set. I switched all 3 vehicles of mine over even foglights and couldn't be more happy!
This was a great video! Just a tip for the future, don’t touch the new bulb without gloves on. The oils from your skin will heat up on the bulb and burn it out much quicker
Thank you for posting this walkthrough video. After doing this I would recommend removing the front bumper. It only takes 5 minutes (1 screw each side and push pins in the front) and makes it WAY easier to get the headlight assembly in and out of the body. Thanks!
@@jaythegamblerr What could be easier than what he did. I don't think he needed to remove the air intake scoop. I'll check it again though. I have a 2016 Genny 3.8. I like the way he has the cold air intake setup.
You shouldn't scare people away from changing their own bulbs with a comment like this. You don't need to remove the front bumper; you don't even need to remove the air intake guide (that the uploader removed). Just the two bolts holding the headlights in, and a single Philips screw about 6" to the left of the hood latch. Then just pop the headlight right out (you need to use a little force) and replace the bulb. Super easy. Removing the bumper is ridiculous.
Mission accomplished! Much appreciated. I realized bending part of the front bumper made it much easier to detach and rest unit. Took me about 30-45 minutes to set up and replace both bulbs.
I can add extra tips as I have had to do this twice. Do everything in the video, they remove the three bolts holding the fender in place. Use a screwdriver plastic or rubber handle to hold the fender out some. You can do the same thing to the plastic and metal part on the front near the light assembly. Take a flathead screwdriver and get it under the plastic assembly at where the assembly bolts to the vehicle. Wiggle and GENTLY pry up on this screwdriver and if you are lucky it will quicly pop the assembly loose. The rest is easy,
For anyone who wants to try this: You don't need to remove the air intake guide that the uploader removed. Just the two bolts holding the headlights in, and a single Philips screw about 6" to the left of the hood latch. Then just pop the headlight right out (you need to use a little force) and replace the bulb. Super easy. Removing the bumper is ridiculous.
How long did your new bulbs last? I hear if it touches your skin, the oil from your skin or any dirt or oil from working on the car that was on your skin will burn out the bulb when it gets hot
Literally looked this up 5 minutes after finding out my same exact headlight burnt. Seems straight forward, what bulb do i need exactly? I googled it already im just making sure lmao
I bought some aftermarket headlights for my gen and the LED strip on only one of the lights is out 😭😒 need to find someone that’s knows about working on headlights
Well that was a first when I heard the Philips screwdriver being referred to as a "Cross Head" screwdriver. I've never heard one called that before. Ya learn something new everyday I guess.
You need to tell people they cant touch the bulb with their bare hands or it will ruin it. you have to wear jersey gloves or similiar.

Always change the bulbs in pairs.
Right I was taught this as well if you change the one bulb you should change the other one too since the other one probs gonna burn out soon aswell

I unscrewed everything but for the life of me I can’t pull the headlight out
I think its bc you are a fine ass girl.....
and tbh, just pull it out hard af.
Make sure when you pull it the front bumper isn’t blocking it besides that just wiggle and pull as hard as you can lol
My bulb just went out smh 🤦🏻
