Thanks for the updates and the work you do. I wish there were more overpass in sections like 1385 and as the other commenter noted, hollyhock. Otherwise, the traffic is going to get stuck there. Also, I wish there was some form of parallel road running south of 380. Possible continuation of rock hill parkway all the way through Navo road or at least to 1385. I think having an alternate greatly helps reduce congestion. My analysis living in this area for a while is the lack of alternative roadways in the little elm section of 380. I know the lake makes it challenging but I definitely see the opportunity to expand rock hill parkway at least until 380 based on the satellite map I see. I wish Town of little elm aggressively plans for future growth and allocate areas for future road expansion. Good to see alternative road built on the other side like Ryan Speer pkwy that connects to 720.
@@Purplehaze778 thank you and we’re glad you like the videos. 1385 has future plans that should place a deemphasis where is meets 380, time will tell but road construction takes years of planning. The lake is a blessing and curse. TxDot is not allowed to build over the water way for any reason. It takes federal approval to get something done and if there is another way already available they will deny it.
@ thanks for the reply and insight. I wasn’t aware of that part of challenge in constructing a bridge over the lake. I always thought funding was the biggest factor. Anyways, I think Little Elm has to take proactive measures to build supplemental roads like how Frisco has done and what Prosper is doing. The main bottle neck is between 423 to 720 and everyone living in between and traveling through have to pass through this area. An alternative road north and south of 380 would greatly reduce congestion. I’m thankful fish trap/first street is helping distributing the traffic to an extent.
@jamesh1641 had never seen that on the plans, we’ll need to revisit that more closely, that seems a bit much to block crossing the roadway that far down.
@@US380Updates check it out further because the engineering was that no overpass would be needed as Hollyhock would not be a cross street and instead be a U-turn or left right turns without cross traffic. Otherwise the traffic comes across the bridge and sits at a light at Hollyhock sandwiched in between the big overpasses.
@@US380Updates yes. Weird gap. East to West - Teal overpass. Legacy overpass. Hollyhock Rd no over pass. 423 overpass. Bizarre to leave it as level street to bog down the flow.
I can share the plans or screenshot of plans. Tell me how to email you...for example you said you weren't sure FM1385 had 2 right turn and 2 left turn lanes
US380 updates got big shout out at Little Elm Town Council meeting last night. Grateful for the work you do in our community 🙏🏻

Is the plan still to block and reengineer Hollyhock Rd at 380 to keep traffic from moving across given there is no overpass?
