This looks incredible and truly monumental. I love the scale they have achieved: these eternal monuments find space and dignity in these sweeping halls! Congratulations to the curators and architects.

This is so impressive. Who funded this entire project?

      20% Egyptian government
      80% Japanese long term loan
Total a bit over one billion us$

My impression: The building is so huge that the statues look tiny inside its space. Even the Ramses statue, in the hall, seems to have lost its powerful impact. I intend to go to Cairo to visit the museum as soon the all collection is available to the public. Perhaps I`m wrong. It`s only an impression. But I`m sure I`ll miss the beautiful charm of the Tahrir square building. I wonder what they will do with this old historic building.

They will prepare the arrangement of the artifacts in its hall and reshape the museum display while restoring the archaeological building itself.

Placing so much magnificent sculpture on giant stairways make it inaccessible to persons with disabilities.

People with disabilities have a special elevator, each person's account is made

Absolutely wonderful. However the terrible 'muzak'; like something from a shopping mall.
