Just bought one of these last week. Weight the front end and this thing will already outcrawl and outperform a surprising range of fully built, expensively upgraded rigs.
This guy constantly makes mistakes like that. Stuff that anyone who knew squat about actual trucks/cars wouldn't make. He seems so odd. Over annunciation of every word.. idk, he just seems super phoney to me.
humm, I'm going to buy a 68 f250 tomorrow (they look the similar) might have to pick one of these up as well, would need to paint the body to match my truck though
Would you recommend this over the Trx4 Sport? Currently have them both in my cart.. it a toss up? I'm leaning toward the Ascender for the licensed body..extra *useable* wheel... what's your advice?
Parts will be hard to come by because the truck has been discontinued. For bodies, there are tons of Lexan crawler bodies available, but you'll need to find one with an 11.4" wheelbase to fit properly. -Brett
@@AMain_Hobbies Yeah man I seen Vaterra released the suburban full size battery tray thats compatible with the F-100 and K10 so I would definitely be picking that up along with the rig ... There's something about that half cage look that is just killer ... But on the other hand the TRX4 sport has the same wheelbase as the bronco and the traxxas bronco body kit is sweet too ... Man I tell ya it's a great time to be in the hobby with so many great rigs to choose from. Cheers man thanks for all the replies over the months!
Yeah, they were great little trucks but they've been since discontinued. I'd check out one of the SCX10 trucks for a great alternative; something like this Deadbolt: www.amainhobbies.com/axial-scx10-ii-deadbolt-rtr-4wd-rock-crawler-blue-axi03025t1/p1446353 -Brett
Great video my friend, well done. I have one question, I don't like the roll bar slash spare tire system on the back, I like a bed in the back, so that being said can this truck be fitted with a pick up body with a bed without having to modify the rear frame? This is the only thing that keeps me from purchasing one of these trucks. I want a pick up truck. This truck is half of a truck. I want a pick up truck with a bed on the back. Can it be done? Thank you for your time and thumbs up on your video friend.
AMain Hobbies didn't mean to post it so jerky either man good job with review though. It's a beautiful looking rig. Maybe my next crawler purchase. Thank you
Thanks for the info Brett. Planning on getting one, after seeing this video. My Honcho should be here Tuesday. Gonna have to break it in first. I love the course in that shop. Where is It? We don't even have a r/c store here..

What a great colour on the shell.
Nice crawler man! Good talk about it! Thanks🤘👌
Good job, BB
will this bind with the dx2e ?
Great first look!
Would a 3s battery short work for this?
Do you carry bumpers or sliders for this Ascender?
It’s not an f-150 it’s and f-100

@@InconsistentTechDad Yeah he was different on his old channel
Jared It's called a mistake. Big deal.
Inconsistent Is this siskel or ebert? Little harsh, get over yourself.
Hmmmm Vaterra you say, great looking body. I'll definitely have to check them out more, great video

Very nice truck!😉👍
Nice rig 👍😎
Is there a kit version of this one like the K5 edition?
I want that crawling track
Great Truck. Thanks for the video
Who else hates TH-cam’s new comment section and how it works?

Thx Bret! U da man haha
What transmitter would work for this?
Can u get different bodys and parts for this truck

No rock sliders, can't mount them on chassis. Could it be mounted on body ?
Probably but that would be a very durable solution and may rip out of the body.
-Brett
What's with TH-camrs screaming at the camera? "WHAT"S UP GUYS?"
Think I could get that body for my scx10ii
Can you guys stock the bulldog body for the traxxas rustler again? I can't find it anywhere!!
PRO3391-00
Thats the part number
Can’t decide between this or the TRX-4 Sport 🤔 this rig looks soooooo good 😍 but the sport looks a little more capable. Any thoughts?

@@AMain_Hobbies Nowwwww you reallllly have me thinking with putting the body and cage on a trx4. Hmmmmmm lol
Redcat gen8 scout 2
Would this be worth buying now?

@@AMain_Hobbies Hey buddy, thank you so much for the info.
i put a farm bed on mine, not a traditional bed but might give you a few ideas
Is it water proof
F100 not f150. So you need Rx/tx? How could a supplied Rx bind with any tx?

So binding with my DX4 will be a piece of cake?

F100
At first he said F-100 and than he said F-150
It IS an f100. But it’s easy to make that mistake since the f100 hasn’t been made since before he was born
It’s a f100 not an f150
Hood Pins Ruin It. Can I but just the Shell ??
Wheel base is probably too short for my Axe just like the Blazer Shell from RC4WD
