I'll make sure to do that next time! I totally forget that's an option since I'm so used to playing in older versions of Minecraft for specific mods. Guess I gotta make use of the 1.19 features eventually!
It didnt end up making it into the final cut of the video (probably because i rambled too much), but I actually ended up switching from moving the campfires to moving bales of hay under each campfire! It made the smoke extend further which looked better, but I didnt consider only putting it under certain ones / staggering them more. I'll have to give that a go for the more realistic look :)
You can change sequence in sequenced gearshift to: Move 8m > Await Move 8m < End. This way you dont need that additional gearshift. Or as someone mentioned earlier you can remove sequenced qearshift and connect everything directly to "normal" gearshift. Eighter way your solution is just unnecessarily complicated. Like, it's not wrong, but why do it the hard way, when you have multiple easier options.
watch polartt, he's way better unless you like the typical minecraft youtuber cringe style that this guy does. Also his builds don't rely on ugly block spam.
Polartt is a good friend of mine and I completely agree he has amazing create videos, but for future reference it is possible to say that in a more mature way.
@@RagePlaysGames Make your videos in a more mature way. You're doing a modpack too complicated for children while making a video for toddlers. Polartt is great because he treats viewers like regular people but I guess that doesn't get millions of views since every big minecraft youtuber makes videos in your childish style, not his.
Use Create Big Cannons to add lava bombs shooting out the top of the volcano! Will be super overkill and very tricky to set up, but it's gonna look SO cool!
If you want the smoke to go higher, you can always put hay bales underneath the campfires, just a thought, and maybe using gantry shafts to help with verticality rather than pistons that require the back to have piston pushers, but it still looks dang awesome!
Like bro could’ve saved so much time. He coulda saved hours on the time the cannon took and however long it took to mine it. He did not think ahead at all
Tip for the volcano, if you want it to look more realistic then have hay bales under the centre few campfires, so the smoke is more concentrated in the centre, similar to a real volcano
I'd definitely add the freecam mod for getting aerial shots for videos, super simple mod, just press f4 to enter freecam! You can even get the modrinth version which doesn't have the cheatier features like clipping through blocks and freecam block placement, if you wanna ensure that it stays "legitimate".
If you dig down under the lava generator and make a 20x20x25 hole, then feed the lava generator into a hose to fill that hole up with lava over time, create's hoses will see those 10k lava blocks as an infinite source of lava and never deplete it.
The working toggeable campfires are cool but you don't really need the sequenced gearshift, making those go up with a mechanical piston that can push up to 8 blocks won't push those more than 8 blocks up
Thank you! I spend a lot of time trying to come up with cool ideas that aren't just "I make big 'something' factory" where I can use Create... well... creatively haha.
You never do anything half way, do you, mister Rage? The end result does look amazing, though =) Part of me is kinda screaming on the inside to just get a whole bunch more lava inside the chamber and tap it using a Hose Pulley (the 10'000 block limit _does_ also work in the Overworld, after all) but your design is really rather nice in the end, and using Create for its aesthetic possibilities is a great idea that I haven't seen much outside of DoodleChaos' builds. So I guess what I'm trying to say is, great job!
I made the outer shape using worldedit in a creative world to get the schematic and I tried making it hollow, but it messed the shape up any time I tried to do basic smoothing of the outer shell of it. Ended up just being easier to make it a mass of stone and then carve out the shape I wanted after (I also had no idea what shape I wanted inside the volcano or the design of what I wanted in there until I built it on camera).
In create there is a setting wich you can turn on for when there is a pit of like 1000 lava buckets it is considered infinite and you can pump out infinite lava, you should try this, I do not think this is cheating because it is a big effort to get a pit this big. Btw love your vids! :)
For filling up a pool of lava, use a hose pulley and pump lava into it from a fluid tank, it will automatically fill up the area that it is lowered into
I plan on it! I am working very hard to streamline the recording process and my editor knows we are going to shoot for faster turnaround :) that is my 2024 goal!
Probably would have saved time to have carved out a preliminary chamber in the volcano before you made the schematic. Would have saved on stone. But it looks awesome so that's the most important part!
I don't know if you know this or not, but still, here's a tip In areas where you don't want cogs to be visible, you can use andesite, brass or copper casings to hide the shaft part atleast.
you can simply make a hole with 10 000 blocks and fill it with lava to make an infinite lava source if you use a pully, and with heybales under campfires, the smoke comes higher (20 blocks)
Although you didnt want to make a create infinite lava source, it would make sense for the volcano istself to be a large lava pit. Maybe have some sort of track that goes kver the cauldron tk extract lava from the volcano.
You could try to use the hose pulley, but it pumps in/out from the bottom of it so it would be difficult to conceal it inside the volcano. While it will fill up any size room by pumping from it, the hose pulley itself marks the "highest point" it will fill to.
for the volcano a little bit of quick math: if it took 5-6 hours to complete, with 1 block every game tick, then lets go with 5h 5*60 = 300 minutes 300*60 = 1800 seconds 1800*20 = 36000 ticks so with 5h it would be 36.000 blocks for 6h its 42.600 blocks (if i did the math in my head correct) so the volano is between 36.000 and approximately 42.000 blocks big i challenge anyone here to calculate the amount of force needed to get the schematic cannon to shoot the ~40.000 blocks
What if you use the lava you generate to fill the volcano with a pool of 10k source blocks? That way you can use a hose to have an infinite source in the overworld (plus will look more realistic than a cauldron farm)
if u have a proplem filling the fluid tanks u need just to hold f3 and press f4 after that u just chosse the mode u want note: after hold f3 and press f4, if u want another mode f4 is next
You need some sort of power plant that you can connect to everything that will almost never get overstressed and can make things go as fast as possible. a huge building with tons of like maybe steam engines? or something even more powerful? idk but you really need that convenience because it pains me to see you making so many different water wheels or steam engines randomly
Ohhh yea, I recall stumbling upon those while playing Tekkit. They were super cool way back then, but looking back on it man did they stand out like a sore thumb haha.
you used from 36000 blocks to 432000 blocks of stone 😳 wouldn't it be better if it was just the outside part... like making the volcano a hole and making only like 2 or 3 layer of stone?
just recently finished my own infinite lava pool in my solo create world, focused first on getting some power online and am up to about 700k Su for my new factory, now i just need to start using, and building the factory
You guys see, this is real hard work. Instead of using an extremely simple brush from world edit to texture the volcano before constructing it, he did it all by hand afterwards. Never taking the easy approach champ, keep up the good work
watching you spend this amount of time and resources, making a massive building perfectly capable of handling an infinite lava source (per create) only to stick a vanilla lava generator with less than a stack of cauldrons caused me literal physical pain. such a waste
use waterlogged leaves instead of stairs, the water wont flow anywhere, like a placeable block of water
I'll make sure to do that next time! I totally forget that's an option since I'm so used to playing in older versions of Minecraft for specific mods. Guess I gotta make use of the 1.19 features eventually!
@@RagePlaysGames better late than never right?
@@RagePlaysGames Wait! Even better, just waterlog the drills themselves!
@@RagePlaysGames can you make a guide on how to make a nether destroyer?

If you use hay bales under some of the campfires the smoke won’t be the same height on all of them therefore making it look a bit more realistic

it physically pained me to see that it wasn't hollow then u had to dig it out which made that worse

"physical pain" reminds me of a certain morgan......

Lava... A bucketing machine, stone generation... Is a super smeltery around the corner?
You should enchant your backtank with Capacity 3, so it can hold for 30 minutes instead of 10

You could use haybales under the campfire to make the smoke rise higher
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO A NEW VIIIID
Download the create: better villagers. It adds creative essence used to make a creative motor. Also makes ollium useful
Although you didnt want to make a create infinite lava source, it would make sense for the volcano istself to be a large lava pit. Maybe have some sort of track that goes kver the cauldron tk extract lava from the volcano.
hay bales under those campfires would make the smoke last longer
for a true "working volcano" in create, one can use those hose things that place source blocks of fluids. not really sure how to make it work though
You could try to use the hose pulley, but it pumps in/out from the bottom of it so it would be difficult to conceal it inside the volcano. While it will fill up any size room by pumping from it, the hose pulley itself marks the "highest point" it will fill to.
for the volcano a little bit of quick math:
if it took 5-6 hours to complete, with 1 block every game tick, then lets go with 5h
5*60 = 300 minutes
300*60 = 1800 seconds
1800*20 = 36000 ticks
so with 5h it would be 36.000 blocks
for 6h its 42.600 blocks (if i did the math in my head correct)
so the volano is between 36.000 and approximately 42.000 blocks big
i challenge anyone here to calculate the amount of force needed to get the schematic cannon to shoot the ~40.000 blocks
As always insane amount of work for a video, i really like the videos. Thank you
That lava setup ended up so clean
You should've made the volcano hollow because it would've took less than an hour for it to have been built.
right click the end of a belt with a wrench to shorten it. right click the end with another belt to make it longer.
Could have just made a machine that uses the nether to transport 50000 sources of lava for infinite lava using a hose pulley
What if you use the lava you generate to fill the volcano with a pool of 10k source blocks? That way you can use a hose to have an infinite source in the overworld (plus will look more realistic than a cauldron farm)
The smoke from the campfires can go higher if you place a haybale underneath them

why'd you make the schematic solid stone if you were gonna hollow it out anyway?
ugh what a stupid answer.
