Who else as a kid loved their Tonka toys as they put them to work in the sandbox
Oh my gosh. I have been to a few museums across the country that houses lots of collectibles. I always keep an eye out for some or all of the Tonka set I got for Christmas in 1955 or 56. It was a wonderful memory to see the same log hauler that was part of the set. Thank you for sharing. Dale.
This truly a beautiful restoration. Those extra "tree trunks" make the whole thing even more valublable.
I have two sons that work in the woods and I am sure they would enjoy this video.
Got one of those in the 50’s. Every Christmas my mom and dad would buy me one or two new Tonka trucks. I distinctly remember unboxing the log truck! 😎
Beautiful job front to back ! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Best Tonka restoration yet!
Love watching that rust disappear and that fast hammering sound is hilarious lmao, great job Bro.
Hey man don't worry about the hate comments. By making these videos you make our days. Thanks
I've been having fun with that truck I got from you... I tell people I got this great little antique toy dumptruck from ebay and show them the before pic, then tell them how much I paid... the reactions are great but then they get even better when I show them the after pic.
Some even want to argue that it can't be the same truck, so I hit them with the video link.
This little truck means a lot to me, thank you for letting me buy it.
Very cool!
This is soo cool!!! I wish they still made toys like this!!!
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
watching sandblasting never gets old.
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
@@TRGRESTORATIONS YW. Always enjoy your videos.
That new cabinet is better than the one we have at work and we're purportedly a professional metal working plant.
Loved the logs and chains, made it more authentic 👍👍
Another awesome restoration... but have to admit the double "Yay!" for the new cabinet was the best bit! 😊
Thanks! it's a pretty awesome cabinet, had to give it the double lol
Er Mah Gerd! You made me so happy when you added the little logs! You even chained them to the truck! Thank you so much for going that extra mile!
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
One of the few times I enjoy watching paint dry. Great job!

I am always glad to see something old made new again. Thanks for sharing your skills. Thanks for preserving a small piece of history. I sure wish I could have gone on a tour of a factory when they were making toys like this. You did a great job on the video and the project. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

Watching these videos make me feel very nostalgic! I had a Tonka log truck in the mid 60's. It even had wooden dowels cut to length for the logs!
OMG! The logs and chains. Fabulous! Just what it needed. Love it...
Thank you! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
16:30 reminds me of a saying I've always liked, "When all else fails, get a bigger hammer."
Amazing. Love the final look.
When I first saw the truck that’s what I would imagine a log truck to look like in real life, because of the wear and tear the woods takes no prisoners.very nice 😎😎😎👍👍👍
lol so true
Hope you are safe from the storms over the weekend
My back yard turned into a lake, but that was the worst it got here, Stay safe 🤘🏼🤘🏼

Another one brought back from the dead. Lovely job.
Thank you! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Loved the double YAY for this one and as soon as I saw the preview image all I could think was I hope he has some Lincoln logs for it or something to load it down with.
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I know it's only a toy truck, but what comes to mind is "That's cool" Nice work fella.
Thanks 👍
Nice restoration. I still have a 1957 Tonka Tipper truck in Brown fully working in mint condition. Also a Red Tonka covered truck 1958 with a boat trailer, in mint condition. Both boxed and hardly played with, hence unmarked. Sent to me in Scotland from America in 1957/8 as Christmas Presents.
Very cool!
@@TRGRESTORATIONS Thank you. I do have detailed pictures of them both from various angles.

Coming from a body shop, I'm happy you're using a stretch hammer to work the metal back into shape. Also, the sandblasting is my favorite part!
Thanks! Never knew the name of it, just bought an "auto body set"
Awesome job 👍🇺🇸

I had one of these. It had six logs with it. 55 sounds right because I was 8 years old. My sister bought it for me for Xmas. Cost about 2 bucks, maybe less. Thanks for the memories.
