Fantastic restoration of a car I am familiar with. You must have know that these cars often came with black and white interiors. Amazing. The sideways tilt on the hood and great detail overall brings back a lot of memories.
Oh this is much better, there's still life in it, your not one of the crazy people that rip off the chrome embellishments and ornaments, paint it horror red and call it a day. Thank you for preserving the past quite well!
You did an absolute amazing job restoring this Buick. I love the colors that you chose. I really enjoy watching your videos they are extremely calming to me.
These cars were still around back in 1964 or 1965, here in the streets of Mexico City, you did a good job welding those two parts you got your set of tricks under your sleeve, I am sure you make good money out of those restored toys, may be the color change was fine but you left some un painted spots in the inside of the body, thanks for the video it's very interesting as those others you have at your youtube channel
Hello Friend! Thank you very much for your comment, it was very useful! I liked to know that these cars were running in Mexico, here in Brazil they don't exist unfortunately! I am looking to improve with each new video!
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! I love old style cars so much, man! So much charm and personality! That teal color you used is gorgeous and really pops well with the white and those white walls! 😁👍🏻
Right? I just commented the same thing, after all that work. Why not finish, paint that ugly faded engine, the components and the inside. It would have taken 5 mins tops.
Stayed true to the manufacturer's ethos - some real life road masters did come in teal - such attention to detail is really rare in current toy manufacturers.
Pretty good job. My only question is why did you do such good details on some things but not others. I wish you would have painted the engine, it's components, the underbody, or the inside of the car.
It's amazing how those chrome paints are looking more and more like real chrome all the time! Just wish you didn't skip showing us some steps like installing the engine/transmission....
Wow, thats nice Valerie! Thank you very much, friend! I'm happy to see that you follow my work here on the channel! Big hug! Did you know ?: 80% of people watching videos are not subscribed. Sign up 😃
This was probably done intentionally as the underside of cars hoods usually weren't painted because of the fumes that could come from the paint reacting with the heat of the engine.
He gets a complete toy, like this one, breaks it down himself thus making an easy repair. Its like all the other bullshit so called toy and junk restores on you tube. They do it so people watch their clips and comment and go "nice job". Plus make some money from you tube for doing it. Am i jealous?? Hell no. I see vids like this as meaning less rubbish. Let the flaming begin
@@4TheMotorist Your mouth must bleed every 28 days mate, you obviously dont get any enjoyment from these vids so why watch them? purely for taking the piss and neg comments.......and yes I've lit the flame LOL
Gracias
Love the color! I knew you use an air spray gun, I didn't know that you used can spray paint. I thought why is he spraying the seat a prime color? I love that it white that you used. I wished it was longer, to show how you did certain things on the car. I, personally never saw a hood lift sideways. I need to look that up.❤❤❤ Now can we go for a ride?🙋
Excellent restoration. I was a little disappointed that the inside of the body wasn’t painted to match the outside. You couldn’t tell until you opened the hood and saw the original red color on the underside, but I think that it detracted a little on the restore.
My dad had a 49 Buick "Super Sedanette" painted the same shade of baby blue as your model. I've only seen photos of it because I wasn't born yet at the time.
skip king; i wonder about the mud myself; one theory i have is that all of these were wrecked relics from a ruined house or toy store. in any case, the artist's object is to show us how to salvage a broken item like this when we find one. now think about this-with all of those of you out there who can safely restore one of these things and have seen all the videos or some, could rescue many types of old relics-thereby saving history in massive amounts. Very beautiful and excellent restorations that it does, you are very good, I the only thing I recommend is that if you are going to paint again is what restores the pintes inside and out, avoid leaving the color that brought and leave it as a new super original It is a personal opinion, I admire your work very much which is more than excellent

Very good model. Good to restore it. Lucky all the parts were still rthere.
An excellent restoration, done by a truly talented and gifted master restorer artist!!!

I love to see beautiful, interesting objects brought back from the dead like this.

Uau! Ficou incrível! Quando restaura uma miniatura tem que ter muita paciência e calma. Mas, o resultado sai da hora!

In addition to the amazing restorations, your photography is stunning!
Nice surgical skills and restoration!!!!!😀😀😀😀😎😎
Wasn't crazy about the color choice but it looks so good. I was happy to see how you re-joined the two halves
Thanks Friend!
@@restorediy nice
I love the color choice.
That was a pure joy to watch.
Agree, I was hoping he'd paint it cream to match the 1949 Buick convertible in Rain Man.
Simply awasome, wonderful job, the final result appears just manufactured by the original factory.
Since the Engine Compartment hood opens, The underside of the hood should have been painted (black). Nevertheless, impressive restoration.
🤣😂the ocd part of me was shouting that too!
But there you go. It was very good nonetheless
Beautiful job. Well, I too wish you had restored to the original color, but, it looks great the way you did it.
Asombrosa restauracion de este BUICK 1949, mis respetos y saludos desde Venezuela.

Amazing work & restoration! You gave that '49 Buick, life again. Beautiful! 😍👍👍
Thanks, friend!
Wish you had painted the interior hood and bonnet. But nice job
excellent job , fixing old ROADMASTER
They believe in restoration ,that's why western are more developed 🙏👍
A pity, a good unfinished work. It gives me OCD that you didn't remove all the red paint and repainted it all.
The question is, why?
Right? I just commented the same thing, after all that work. Why not finish, paint that ugly faded engine, the components and the inside. It would have taken 5 mins tops.
Even under the hood was red. Looked like a Macco paint job. Lol
Maybe he just didn't because you wouldn't be able to see those parts on the outside.
Even I was OCD on the unfinished paint job 🥺

amazing, love the color but the tonneau cover color really sets it off beautiful
It was looking good until we saw that you didn't paint the underside of the hood.
This was probably done intentionally as the underside of cars hoods usually weren't painted because of the fumes that could come from the paint reacting with the heat of the engine.
@Captain Caveman yes but this was in 49
Wanted to make it look like Earl Shieb painted it.
