I just receieved my beachwaver. Maybe because it's new to me, but it took me forever to do all my hair, tangling several times. After watching you use yours, I caught on much better. It get really hot, too hot for my hair, but my hair is in poor condition from meds I have to take. Your hair is so beautiful and the color is awesomely gorgeous. It is a boxed color or mixture of colors from your beautician? I would really like to know, if you see my comment. Keep up with your tutorials, your the best.

My hair doesn't usually keep a curl for very long (even with hair spray) so I wondered if there was something you would suggest that I spray on my hair prior? Or since this one has different heat settings maybe product beforehand would be unnecessary? LMK what you think!
You could totally do that, I'd just recommend a spray that doesn't include alcohol so you don't dry out your hair or damage it. I tend to just use a heat protectant spray beforehand and then texture spray and hairspray after!

Thanks so much Marlene! It will definitely work for long & thick hair, but it will just take her longer. The barrel is only 1" so it's quite skinny, meaning it can handle less hair at a time. It's also the reason it gives a great beachy wave though! The T3 Twirl 360 has a 1.25" barrel and I have a video using that, so it would take less time for her to do her hair with that curling iron, but it's only a little bit bigger so not like a LOT less time. :)

Sorry I just saw this comment Rachel! If you're using the S1 and you want really messy beachy waves, you'll need to barely leave the iron on your hair for just a second or so, and then pull on the ends to loosen the curl. If you can, I'd recommend going with a slightly bigger barrel curling WAND - that will probably give the ideal messy beachy waves you're going for!
Beth Molin no I think the natural texture of your hair would work to your advantage with waves like this! I didn't straighten mine but when I blow dry my hair it's naturally pretty straight.

It will automatically start curling?! Okay I have never experienced that, mine only curls when I press the button! You might want to contact them, perhaps your iron is defective.
My hair really does not hold curl well so I would say it looks like this on the first day, and then the second day it gets more beachey and loose. So I can wear this style for about 2 days, then my hair gets oily. I do have friends who use it though and they can go like 4 days, it's a little ridiculous. It depends on your hair!
Have you ever colored your hair before? It helps a ton because it damages the hair a little, so it holds curl better. Because I color mine it holds curls much better than when I never colored it. Other than that, there are techniques like after you curl the hair, don't touch it for like 10 minutes so the curls can really set in. Also TOO much hairspray can weigh curls down and actually have the opposite effect. I hope that helps a bit!
I just bought one for myself and for my best friend for Christmas and we both love ours! I have really thick long hair that doesn’t like to hold curls and so far so amazing! My best friend has long hair that is on the thin side and she also has a different time curling her hair and getting the curls to stay, but when she used this for the first time she was able to do her entire head by herself and it only took her about 20 minutes to do with her curls lasting over 24 hours with just the use of heat protecting spray and hair spray. We both got the 1” barrel and are both super thrilled with it! Tbh the price (I did purchase them on sale) was about the same as a good curling iron and at least the Beachwaver is a lot easier to use because it rotates your hair up into the wand to create the perfect curls and causes less stress and fatigue on the wrists and hands for those of us that have issues with RA/OA and joint pain issues. I’m definitely happy with my purchase and am actually considering buying several more for the other wonderful women that could benefit from this amazing curling iron as well!! I don’t want to leave them out of having the same remarkable experience as I am enjoying and the results that I am loving!
