Wow the policeman interviewed is extremely knowledgeable. Very impressed. Also great outcome pilots okay and zero damage to the plane or anybodys cars. That’s great 👍
Yes, his name is Kerry Schmidt and he's the best! If you look carefully at the footage you can see him performing some mechanical duties on the plane too!
@@pascalmarch That is amazing! Sounds like a really cool guy. Usually the interview with the policeman you can tell they know literally nothing at all.
@@asdf12345929 Hehe well media cops juggle with what they are and aren't allowed to say within a short time after an incident and in front of reporters bombarding them with questions so can't really blame them. Some cops also take media duties even though they are not official spokesperson and some people just aren't comfortable in front of the camera, I know I'm not.
"Switched fuel tank which is typical standard procedure...then they experienced engine stumbling". This is not a typical standard procedure while climbing out. May I ask where you got that from? I fly a Piper Cherokee. What is standard procedure is to try switching tanks after you have an issue in case one of the tanks was failing to feed the engine with fuel.
You should see Vancouver BC. Anything from unmarked dodge minivan, Electric Ford focus hatchbacks, Mercedes Transit vans to their marked cars, Ford Escapes, some truck but not sure the model & 2016-2018 + Dodge chargers (which are the main cars). Tons more but I don't pay too much attention
This cop speaks better than 99% of reporters.
Hes good. He's been featured on Heavy Rescue 401
Great landing! Thank God no one was hurt!!!
"Even pilots prefer the 407 ETR" - New motto for 407ETR
BRILLIANT PILOTS! THANK GOD FOR THEIR DECISION TO SAVE LIVES!!🛩
What other decision might you expect them to make?

Great save and Sgt Schmidt is on heavy rescue 401 time to time.
Oh really? Interesting
Just change 'loosing' to 'losing', and it's perfect.
Pretty impressive!
Great video!!!
Lucky most highways are specifics designed for aircraft to land
Quick action equals good outcomes...
After loosing power… Was it tight?
sidenote, those are some dope police cars
