As we wind down this cruise, we visit Peter Port, Guernsey. On our drive we learn about the history, including the German occupation during WWII. We stop for a tour and tasting at the Rocquette Cider Farm and Brewery, and visit the Little Chapel.
Back on board, we have our last dinner at Chartreuse.

When the driver was taking you on the tour and another car was approaching from the other direction. It brought me back to when we were in England last year in July. My husband Andy was driving on the roads near where he was born in West Dean, Chichester, West Sussex the roads are the same and they are 2 ways. They have a road rating system in England Major Motor Ways like the M1 then A Roads, B Roads and C Roads. That road in Guernsey would be classified as a C Road. There are a lot of them all over the UK. I am sure you were happy that you had a driver. Driving on the Left side of the Road and with those narrow road, No thank you.

Looks like another lovely day. I’m sad for you that the breakfast hasn’t been as it should be. Guernsey looked very picturesque

The breakfast was mostly great, it is just the service level went down on this second leg when the ship was full. Guernsey was nice for a one-day visit. Thanks for watching!

Good you were able to get off the ship. Thanks for sharing as I did not know about Guernsey previously. Now I need to look up the Grotto of Lords.

Thanks for watching! Being stuck on the ship for a day would not have been that bad, but I am glad we were able to get off also. Johnetta is on a cruise from Sydney to Auckland right now, and they are stuck on the ship due to invasive species on the hull. cruisepassenger.com.au/news/three-ships-fall-foul-of-bio-security-regulations/

@@DJTravels Wow... this must be frustrating for Johnetta. Hope she is able to get off soon. Maybe Johnetta can do a summary of her experience after she returns.

I gave her a camera to use, but we will see what she comes back with.

Thanks for sharing your vacation. I have been enjoying watching. How was the length of the trip for you both? Have you ever done a vacation this long? The maximum we have done is 7 days but I’ve noticed RSSC has some great itineraries that are much longer.

@@mariarodas9115 Thanks for watching and excellent question! Towards the end, we were very anxious to get back home. This is the longest trip we have ever taken by about 5 days. So I would say that the optimal trip for us would probably be about two weeks. But, after a month of being home, we were itching to go somewhere again!
