ZNR is Zoom Noise Reduction. Bigger numbers mean more noise reduction. "A" is cab sim + noise reducrion... I still have a 505II somewere at home

I bought a brand new GFX707 in November 1999 for under US$90. It's so cheap, but its sound is quite good on Clean Drive and some Mods. Its distortion drives are suitable for pop and fashion rock songs. However, I still think of the clean and chorus sound.

All the patches in the A Banks I think were edited for metal use. The factory patches is not like that. The moment your switch on the pedal, the A1 patch is a high gain overdrive. Press the next patch and you'll get a clean patch. All the patches in the A banks are high gain distorted sound.

The ambient/clean stuff was fun to listen to! 🤘
Didn’t care at all for the distortions, though. 😬
€20 still? At least it was including shipping. 💪
Why are you looking up after a volume increase? Is there a dB meter, to make sure your neighbours won’t come complaining? 😂
    *edit*
    Happy new year! 🍻🤘

Back in the day, I had one of these, was my introduction to the multifx world. Layout was ok, editing was a pain and the fx section itself is pretty usable until nowdays.

The EQ is probably the weirdest section. From 0-30 I think it is just like a tone knob (low to high) but after that I think it does specific curves for certain frequencies. The manual details it all.
I wish mine still worked. :(

I used mine for years with a Vader like death metal band and a death doom band with no complaints.
Straight into a Crate solid state clean channel.
      Classy

What about an hm2 before? Maybe it sounds better

Isn't this what Bolt Thrower uses, or is that a Digitech unit?

I used to be jealous of an acquaintance who owned this cause he could nail radiohead songs. I owned a line6 spider mk2.
