So the is a no for the Steven Universe bit. Also DBZ was the first and most popular medium to introduce the concept of fusion this way in the early 90s.

I'm glad they did its definitely different from what they normally do to end a story. But this DC fusion was awesome if they keep fusing DC characters they can make more great stories if they don't over use it.

I don’t know exactly how it works in the current continuity, but if they needed someone to enter the tomb with Neja to seal him, couldn’t they have had negative man do it, then pass through the walls back to Larry? If so, feels like a pretty big plothole

Probably not this version since this is specific to this comic while most power scaling that have supes win use feats from other runs that are separate. But you could always say Superman has infinite potential in any universe but idk
