Between the previous episode and this episode I have learned to model, scan and print my own car parts for prototypes before sending them off to be CNC'd. I can't believe it has genuinely been that long. Good to see you back at it.
Hell yeah I've been checking back for ages thinking I may have missed an update. I thought at first the scanner was a joke ha ha. but that's actually a fucking good idea. killer work as always, engine bay is gonna look fucking mint
In the future, instead of destroying a part in order to see what the profile is, you could use Cerrosafe casting alloy. It has a low melting temperature, similar to solder, but it doesn’t stick like solder will. It’s an interesting material because you pour it into the part you want to take a mold from. After 30 minutes, the casting contracts which allows for easy removal from the mold. Then, 30 minutes after that it will expand back to the exact original size, so you can measure directly from the casting for exact measurements. According to Wikipedia, the expansions properties are well known enough that you can still calculate the actual size after 200 hours with a little bit of math. Anyway, it might be a good solution for you to be able to get good measurements from difficult to measure places, without having to destroy the part.
Ryan Tuerk was the only one getting technical with his builds the last 2 years. Till you came back it makes him look far away from the level of complexity you are on. Love and respect to both of the builds!
If I may offer a neat tip: next time you need to measure some odd internal features, you can use dental impression paste. You would lay it in that channel, let it solidify, then you can pull it out and measure the features. It's super handy for undercut or otherwise difficult to measure geometry. I use it in my medical prototype parts.
A big part of me wants Al to show up and put steam pipe log manifolds on it cause it really doesn't matter. @allied. Beautiful work as always. Glad to see a new episode. Cheers

Come on guys, I started my V12 land cruiser project after you and I finish the car we want more videos about the V12 supra
What I'd love to see on this build is a pair of Nelson racing engines mirror image turbos... that'd allow you to make everything perfectly symmetrical
Flick back a few episodes, we already have the mirrored turbos. But better! I think its the ep with the turbo and bumper vent in the thumbnail!
