I just started following your channel, I really enjoy your videos not just for the different weapons but the history that comes along with it. Keep up the great content!
I just bought a s and w walther Ppk/s Premier edition 1 of 400 talo eagle engraved .380. That's about as close as I'll ever come to having something like the beautiful pistol you have. :-)
On the legacy collectibles, Herrmann Goering, was presented with a Smith and Wesson pistol, which was engraved and given to him by aviator Charles Lindbergh, Charles Lindbergh, was given a luftwaffen sword by Herrmann Goering, around the time frame 1936 or 1937, as presentation gifts.
Fantastic gun! Thanks for another great video! Were all the records for the war time Krieghoff guns destroyed? I have a 1951 Krieghoff K32 shotgun, and they have records of it at the factory.
Carl Goetz is relative comon german name and thuse more persons.. but in this case a suspicously fitting indivual might be the infamous bank manager Carl Goetz who was handeling credits to the SS and its force labor system and was on the board of directors the notorious "Adlerwerke" (forced labor, part of KZ Stutthof operations)
It's great that you always discuss the slave labour.... but you still collect them. For me, personally, I'm proud to own the firearms my ancestors captured or traded for. They are all standard, issue plain Jane. I can't justify seeking these out...
Very hard to do. I have over 20,000 recorded serials . You would know if someone engraved an existing gun. Also, metal is now hardened so it is very difficult to engrave. It's been tried and the fakers have been called out on this. One guy went to jail.
We sent millions of young men to die in order to destroy Germany (for no good reason) and the beautiful oak leaf engraved guns went with them. Pretty sad if I'm honest
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. THIS YA HOO AGAIN. THIS GUY LOVES THE SOUND OF HIS OWN VOICE. ALL TALK AND NO VIDEO OF THE GUN. SHOULD BE CALLED "STORIES WITH A GUN DEALER"
Couple of questions please. Do you ever fire these pistols or is it best just to keep for display and, the other pistol you showed in much poorer condition, would you ever consider sympathetically restoring one in that condition? Whilst we usually frown upon restorations, I'm not sure I could resist with the other pistol you showed as the condition was so poor.
I do not shoot the high end guns but i have others i can shoot. If a gun is really bad , yes i have had restoration work done but that is very for me to take that step
Thanks for showing this peace of history , Sir !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another great video. Thanks!

Beautiful piece. Thanks for the information I gain from your podcast.

Seem to recall reading Lindbergh was a Nazi supporter.
Wow beautiful pistols

If it's from 1951 and not pre 1945 then it should be documented unless i read your comment wrong.
jackson thompson Yes its a postwar Krieghoff
yes. All wartime records were destroyed
Thomas Whiteman Any idea of how many guns total Krieghoff made? It could not have been too many, they were and still are very expensive guns.
Hey Tom
Will you put it on the website then we can have a better look on it ?
Best
Sorry. Headed to the safe for a LONG sleep.
Fascinating stuff
You sure had your poker face on!
LoL
Thank you I love it !!!!
Would love to open carry something like this.
To bad i'm poor to afford it.
It would get scratched up.
Also Nazi oriented stuff my get you in a fist fight
Some git would steal it from you !
@@roeng1368 idk about you but I wouldn't think it's a great idea to try to rob someone who has a gun 5 inches from their hand
What I have seen they're real prone to sneak attack from the rear.
Wasn't he on the Donna Reed show...oh, that was Carl Betz!
Benny’s gonna be mad you have his pistol!
Carl Goetz was the chairman of the board of the Dresdner Bank Berlin and of the Landerbank, Vienna (b. 1885)
what do you think about Astra 300,400,600?
Excellent guns. We sell many of them. WW2 era and also after the war.
All the way to D.C! YAAAAAAAA
I am assuming the answer is no, as you never want to change an original - but gold or silver washing would be verbotten today?
I would say no, but some people dont mind a fresh coat of gold wash.
There was a Dr Carl Goetz

I think the name is pronounced "gets".
Nice guns...really like ppk’s..."
Floral engraving? Pretty sure they're supposed to be Acanthus leaves.
🍸👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸✊🏻
Does somebody actually have some of Hitlers gun's in there collection?
Yes. I believe it is in the West Point Museum.
Which one? 25 or 32acp?
CAROLINA PATRIOT Hitler owned seven of these pistols including a ppk but i believe his ppk was a 32 acp
Who ever he was he had epic hair cut and Hitler tash.
Died in a snappy looking sweater too.
Its pronounced “gets”
Thanks. Tomato, Tomota ?
Thomas Whiteman not so much as there is only one proper pronunciation which rhymes with gets
gibsondrummer lol
Carl Goetz... if he was German it would of been Karl Götz. “German” names with a C are not very common nor were they back then.
It's great that you always discuss the slave labour.... but you still collect them. For me, personally, I'm proud to own the firearms my ancestors captured or traded for. They are all standard, issue plain Jane. I can't justify seeking these out...
so just fake more guns and make a new block

This American. Where the American guns.

Did we watch the same video? He clearly shows the gun.
