I am a massive Burnley fan. Me and my best mate used to go to Burnley home and away regardless of distance. He unfortunately took his own life 27/08/24 and this is one of the songs on our shared matchday playlist. I always have a tear in my eye listening to this. Listening to this in 2023 at 35 years of age makes me realise how the world has changed and not for the better. Maybe it’s nostalgia talking but I don’t like the world much today like I did back then. Anyone reading this who is 18-20 years old enjoy your life because in the blink of an eye you’re 35.
Wished I was 35 again, you're right time flies - I was 35 in 2010 out partying a lot, drinking and smoking but I am 48 now and don't go out as often and don't drink and smoke anymore I am more health conscious, try to eat healthily too but nothing mattered back then and things aren't the same as you say, take care whoever you are!! At the moment i'm 19 and over the last year have fell in love with this song, Its constantly shouted at parties and indie clubs and i love it. However i turn 20 in just under a month and i see a lot of comments from people reaching the end of their teens and how sad it is. I admit i went through a similar thing myself when i was 17 but i'm not dreading turning 20. Yes perhaps this song will be slightly less personal but i'll still bloody enjoy it. I've decided not to spend my life looking back or i definitely will regret it. Smile, you're still young even when you're in your twenties. You're not 19 forever, or any age for that matter.

I discovered this song seconds ago on the glastonbury 2019 highlights. I’m not 19, just turned 22 a week or two ago. But i’m dedicating this to my little sister-she’s still 19. She turns 20 at the end of the month. Such a beautiful and empathetic soul. Lol she literally tells me all the time half serious and half joking that im her 2nd mother. Time really does fly by fast. As a kid, I read these comments, thinking I'd come back here when it was my turn. And now, here I am, in the last few days of my teenage years, ready to step into the real world myself. As I enter this new chapter in my life, I feel both excited and nervous about what lies ahead.
